Pros:
  • Speedy SE-R models, nimble handling, lots of standard features, simple controls.
Cons:
  • Noisy ride, uncomfortable front seats, extremely tight legroom in back, some low-grade interior materials, poor side-impact crash test score.

  • This SE-R made me a car lover - 2006 Nissan Sentra

I bought this car after popping into the dealership to check out the Altimas. Once I found out that the Sentra had zero-percent and came in the SE-R style I was all over it. A year later, this car has made me a car lover, because I never before realized how fun it could be just to drive. Also, it out-paces my friends highly modded Mazda3 hatch. Cant put a price on that. My wife and I like this car so much were getting her a 2007 one.

  • An awesome little car - 2006 Nissan Sentra

Some of these reviews amaze me. My husband purchased ours new in 06 and it is now 5 years old & has 140,000mi plus on it & runs and drives great. The gas mileage is awesome too. My husband changes our own oil (using synthetic oil & always changes the air filter) The sticker said the car would get 31mpg highway but our average is usually 31.9 and we do tons of driving in town. The last trip we went on I drove 120miles half of it was stop & go the other half was highway and my average for the trip was 38.8mpg (thats fabulous) We could get that kind of gas mileage all the time if we tried (and no we dont shut off the a/c)

Like most of the reviews, the sound system and 6-disc in dash cd player are awesome! The front bucket seats are comfortable. The SE version has the Firehawk tires that are very expensive to replace. The cup holders are poorly located.I kick off the cd player at least once a week when putting down my soda.Ive had the car 7 months so far and Im still enjoying it. Drove from Maine (where I live to NYC) and the trip went smoothly. Wondering how the car will drive in the snow?

  • A great car, for a great price - 2006 Nissan Sentra

33+ mpg for 60% highway 40% local driving. 129@2400 torque delivers good acceleration, similar to VW Golf (122@2600), better than all other JPN, KRN and USA compact cars (about 120- 140@4000+). So, I dont have to floor the gas pedal and listen to the engine hauling at 4000 RPM all the time, as it is in a Civic. The Rockford audio system is super, worth $900, but included in the $433 special edition package, together with fog lights, spoiler, leather steering wheel, sporty grill and seats. The rear seats need more leg room, but most people use a Sentra as a 4-door coupe, with rear cup holders. As other compact cars, you can feel the wind, but very smooth ride in a nice day.

Good car and pretty good with gas. Ive been getting about 26 mpg. I got an automatic and it drives really well, Im more of a stick driver - but this automatic is nice. I love the sound system and moonroof. And the trunk release comes in handy.

  • Love the Sentra - 2006 Nissan Sentra

This is the first car I have driven in years. Always was a SUV. I had my doubts going to a small car. I wanted the gas mileage. This car is extremly comfortable and easy to handle. I love it.We had to drive it to San Antonio from Ohio a few months after we got it. We were comfortable the entire trip. Did not feel cramped at all. The gas mileage is better than expected. On the highway I usually get about 37 mpg. In town about 31-33. I drive 200 miles to work a week, so this is awesome for me.

  • Sporty Economy - 2006 Nissan Sentra

Well I am a young student just finishing up with college and beginning my career...spending a lot of money on a car just wasnt an option. So for quality that will last a few years I decided to go with a Japanese made car...and since I already drove a Nissan, I chose to stay loyal to a car thats done me so well over the years. I purchased a 2006 Nissan Sentra (this time an automatic) and so far I am in love! The ride is smooth and very quiet! The seats are firm yet not unyielding...should do great for long rides. I love the sporty look the spoiler and rims give. Basically I love that the car doesnt scream "Ecomony Price Range." I cant say enough about the Sapphire Blue...
