Overview & Reviews
For 2003, there is a new 2.5 Limited Edition trim, which includes GXE front fascia styling, the 165-horsepower QR25 4-cylinder engine, standard automatic transmission, standard Antilock Braking System (ABS) and side-impact supplemental airbags. The Sentra CA model is no longer available as all 1.8-liter engine-equipped Sentra XE and GXE models sold with California emission specifications offer zero evaporative emissions and meet SULEV (Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicles) standards. Other changes this year include a new power steering ratio for XE and GXE, a revised six-speed manual transmission for SE-R Spec V model and a new bright yellow exterior paint color for the SE-R and SE-R Spec V.
- Pleasing cabin design, SULEV emissions for California-sold cars, 165-horsepower SE-R sport version, fun to drive.
- Generic styling, Limited Edition and SE-R Spec V models command premium price.

Very Nice - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By James - January 5 - 3:50 amI bought my car in April, 2003 and it has 26,000 now. I had 0 problems and never had to go to the dealer except for the ECM recall. I highly recommend this car. I usually get 26MPG+. Not bad for a fast car!

Best Bang for the Buck - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By Rory Bellows - October 18 - 2:00 amThe Spec-V sets the standard that Honda Civic Si hasnt followed. Design - sleeker; performance - more HP; handling - tighter; price - cheaper. Why would anybody even buy a Honda Civic. And the only minor issue was torque steer which I understand has been rectified on the 2003 model. I wouldnt trade my Spec for 10 Civic Sis.

By Daytona - October 8 - 10:00 amGot it 2 wks ago. Good car. Probably paid to much though. Fun to drive. Watch out shifting from 4 to 5. Gas milage seems okay. Very noisy on concrete roads. Not many on the road, this is good.

Fun to Ride - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By Bnslee - July 19 - 2:00 amStability and Performance is too amazing. I wouldnt ever thought of buying a sentra until after shopping around for cheap affordable car. I went to check out the civic and corolla, both extremely expensive both insurance and sticker price, and powerless. I purchase my car at 15600 before tax, for that price you cant get anything better. So before checking out a civic and corolla or any other car go test drive a SER sentra.

Best car for the money - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By BlackSpecV - July 19 - 2:00 amHands down, this is the best car for the money. Paid $16,395 out the door for a 03 SpecV w/ floor mats and microfilter. Great financing from Nissan. Each time I get out, I find myself looking back at it with pride. Why get an underpowered Celica or Civic, when you can get this beast at the same price?

Bang For Your Buck... - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By MPMSpecV - July 8 - 10:00 ampurchased 12/31/02 for about $17,600. loaded less ABS and side airbags..base model is only $16.2K !! ive owned a 450+ hp NOS mustang and my specV isnt dissapointing when you campare apples to apples -- a compact sedan with 7 sec 0-60mph, 15.5 1/4 mile and razor sharp handling and 6 speed for $16-18K. remember, at these prices each $2K equates to 10% more. Dont even think about the neon srt4 - at least $20K IF you can find one!) The specV is pure value..nothing fancy inside or out to jack up the price, just above average performance with great price and quality -- certainly worthy of a test drive if youre shopping around.

Newbie - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By reighne - June 13 - 10:00 amI really love my Nissan; its not hard to handle and comfortable. The air conditioner seems to only have a few settings though: Too Cold or VERY Cold. I constantly seem to be trying to adjust the temperature so that its comfortable. Great stereo system though. Fun to drive, AND THANK GOODNESS for AMAZING GAS MILEAGE. I pay typically about $10-15 of gas every week or so and so its not bad whatsoever. Its a very steady car, reliable, and compact enough that itll fit practically anywhere. The doors are a little small for moving things, but you can pack a lot of stuff into the car once you get past the door.

Best Car in Class - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By GoldfishPimp - June 13 - 10:00 amI have had the car for almost three months now and I find myself liking it more and more everyday. Have yet to see another Spec-V in Tulsa. I see a hundred Civc EXs everyday. Everyone wants to know what kind of car it is. When I tell them its a Sentra, the response is always "A Sentra ?!?!" It is a blast to drive.
