Overview & Reviews
For 2003, there is a new 2.5 Limited Edition trim, which includes GXE front fascia styling, the 165-horsepower QR25 4-cylinder engine, standard automatic transmission, standard Antilock Braking System (ABS) and side-impact supplemental airbags. The Sentra CA model is no longer available as all 1.8-liter engine-equipped Sentra XE and GXE models sold with California emission specifications offer zero evaporative emissions and meet SULEV (Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicles) standards. Other changes this year include a new power steering ratio for XE and GXE, a revised six-speed manual transmission for SE-R Spec V model and a new bright yellow exterior paint color for the SE-R and SE-R Spec V.
- Pleasing cabin design, SULEV emissions for California-sold cars, 165-horsepower SE-R sport version, fun to drive.
- Generic styling, Limited Edition and SE-R Spec V models command premium price.

Reliving My Childhood - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By Nemo - March 17 - 2:00 amI am re-living my childhood driving this car! It combines the raw power of my 1965 GTO with the reliability of my 1994 Camry. It goes like a bat of hell when you want it and still gets great gas mileage. It impressed my daughter when she drove it the first time and that says alot for the car. It gets a steady diet of compliments from the tuners around my neighborhood. Definitely worth the money

I love it! - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By waynoka - March 7 - 10:00 amI bought this car in April, and Ive loved every minute of it. Had already tested Mazdaspeed, Eclipse GT, Celica GT-S, Subaru WRX. Found this one more fun to drive than Mits or Toyota. WRX was really nice, but pricey. Mazda was closest, but the dealership sucked (Dobbs in Memphis). This car has great power in all gears, looks flashy in yellow, wont be confused with other Sentras, and is a joy to drive. Great craftsmanship, materials are very sturdy, everything feels very tight. I skipped the fosgate stereo. Also avoid the stripes down the sides, definitely dont pay for them. Floor mats look great but arent necessary.

Great performance value - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By Johnny V - January 3 - 6:30 pmI bought this car brand new in 03. Car looks much better than 04 and up. Love the interior, transmission, and all that torque! Only trouble was the recall on the pre cat. I solved that by installing a header. Good performance and looks for the price. Only complaint is it is under powered. cant keep up with wrx or neon srt-4. But a car that can run low 15s for under 19k is hard to pass up. Car handles very well in stock trim but Eibach springs make it handle better and actually improve the ride quality. Suggest an after market shifter to clean up the sloppy action of the stock piece. This car is a blast to drive and it sets you apart from the thousands of civics out there.

More car then you pay for! - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By LI SilverSE-R - December 23 - 2:00 amThis car has more torque then any other NA 4 cyl new car. If you are looking for great gas milage I suggest a civic or a corolla, they are far superior to the GXE and XE. However if you want a quick car for very little money this is a very good choice. Especially if you are lazy like me and like automatic because no other auto in the price range offers this much power. This car just moves effortlessly. It handles great, its very fun to drive and its not bad looking. The engine sounds great too!! The 180 watt 7 speaker stereo is pretty decent too.

great car - 2003 Nissan Sentra
By mike - October 11 - 1:46 amGreat car to own, low on initial pickup but flies on the highway. Very quiet and stable at high speeds. Its like driving a high-end sports car, also great in the snow and very good mileage, 28 in the city, 35+ highway.

By aaron - October 5 - 10:00 amthis is a very fun car to drive. the first time i got in it was at the dealership and i felt the power as soon as i pulled out of the space. very nimble. about the only down side to the spec-v was getting used to the outragous torque steer when really pushing it.
