This Year's Model Updates:

Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.

Pros:
  • Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
Cons:
  • No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

My Test drive with the Nissan Salesman sold me on the car; he drove first, and stomped on it showcasing the cars acceleration 7.7 sec to 60mph!!! He took the car up to 80mph, and then did some quick lane change manuevers and the car stayed flat, composed and handled it with aplomb!!! Drives wonderful, well controlled for such a beast 3900lbs! Xenon HIDs are a must, crisp! Interior accomodations are very good, comfortable, spacious, great use of space. Navigation system is a nice tool and Birds-eye view is a nice improvement! Versatility!

  • I LOVE MY MURANO!! - 2003 Nissan Murano

I drove it and had to have it. Bot back in January and between all the creature comforts and stylish looks its hard to beat. NAV is fun and has gotten me out of a jam a couple times. Drove from Colorado to Florida and back and was very comfortable. Noisy with back windows down, the rattle. Got home from FL with a TRANSMISSION LEAK..dealer doesnt know how to fix GREAT.. now what?

  • Love It!! - 2003 Nissan Murano

I had my eye on the Murano for some time. I read numerous reviews and overall thought it to be a good value. I had to go a couple years older becuase Nissan tends to hold their value and an 03 worked best for my price range. Any car I have ever purchased in teh past, I had a twinge of "buyers remorse" - not this time. I have to say I am very pleased with this vehicle.

MY 2002 GLE MAXIMA AND THIS CAR BOTH DRIVE QUIETLY, AND SMOOTH. THE ACCELERATION IS VERY NICE FOR AN SUV. WE DROVE THE JEEP LIBERTY 4x4, EXTERRA 4x4, AND A FEW OTHERS, NONE COMPARED TO THIS VEHICLE.

I wont change this car for a fully loaded, most expensive high end car!

  • So far, so good! - 2003 Nissan Murano

We ordered a Murano last Thanksgiving and got it earlier this year. It was worth the wait. Its a nice balance between utility, performance, and style. Has the utility to haul kids and dogs, performance to make you smile and style thatll have folks asking you about it. I havent taken the car to its limits yet, but for everyday driving its great. One thing Ive noticed is that to get optimum performance from the CVT you have to be pretty generous on the accel pedal. I.e. punch it if you wanna go fast.

  • Great Mid-Size SUV Choice - 2003 Nissan Murano

We recently purchased the Murano after trading our 1996 Pathfinder LE. We spent twenty minutes in the showroom climbing all over the vehicle, looking at features and comparing it to the Pathfinder. This was enough to get us on the road where I was able to get it close to 80 MPH. We were impressed by the low road noise that we had come to despise in the PF. While we wanted three rows of seats, we were satisfied with the larger rear seats over the PF. I was also very impressed with the luxury quality of the controls. It has a distinctive look that reminds me of days of muscle cars. We have lost count of how many strangers stop us to ask about the vehicle.

  • First non-american car I bought - 2003 Nissan Murano

I went on line got the invoice price & negotiated from there. It was a no hassle sale & the car rides like a dream. Great sound system, lots of room. Im 6 tall & someone can sit behind me without having their knees around their throats.

  • Urban Assault Vehicle - 2003 Nissan Murano

I actually wanted an SUV more suited for the city, not off roading; one with unique styling, decent power, and unlike the rest of the SUV pack. The Murano fit the bill perfectly. An eye catcher, the Murano is also fun to drive with tons of storage and cargo space. I love it!
