Overview & Reviews
Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.
- Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

Mixed Bag -- Ya Love It Or Ya Hate It - 2003 Nissan Murano
By SacMuranoDvr - July 16 - 10:00 amWell, its a great substitute for a station wagon. The CVT takes some getting use to. Its a lot peppier in Ds mode. Although, Id rather have a regular automatic and more road feel. Fits in parking spaces, carries people, has so-so styling and the dealers are a mixed bag. I dont know, I get the feeling they could have done better.

Great Design - 2003 Nissan Murano
By alopez - July 16 - 10:00 amBeautiful design, fun to driving, good performance in city or freeway; excellent performance driving in heavy rain conditions. Interesting interior and exterior design, great features. Poor left back and back visibility, Interior seats does not provide with an arm rest.

Murano falls short on handling - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Steven Pollock - July 10 - 10:00 amThe Nissan Murano, mine now with 7,000 miles. Great highway mieage 25mpg, terrible in the city 14-15 mpg, slugish ingine for a dead stop. Poor handling especially from my last SUV the BMW X-5. Very comfortable for long ride with pleanty of interior room if you dont need a third road. For the money, you get what you paid for and more.

Solid Entry in Crossover Market - 2003 Nissan Murano
By 2J - June 8 - 10:00 amI chose the Murano over the Honda Pilot primarily b/c of the fun factor. It has great pick-up and curb appeal. Excellent execution by Nissan. I chose this over an 04 Maxima (and I love driving a six speed!).

First SUV - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Farmer - June 4 - 10:00 amMy very first SUV - wanted cool style and interior - and all the "bells & whistles" - got it with this vehicle - drives like a car - handles excellent - like everything about it - and feel it is not a "typical" SUV - but functions like one.
