This Year's Model Updates:

For 2011, the Nissan Maxima sees only a handful of minor changes. Among them, the exhaust tips are different and the available Sport package gets smoked headlights, a dark chrome grille and gray stitching for the upholstery.

Pros:
  • Excellent iPod integration.
  • Strong V6
  • High-quality interior with high-tech features
  • Precise steering
Cons:
  • Optional equipment stuffed into expensive packages.
  • Lacks the brand cachet its price tag implies

  • Rattles - 2011 Nissan Maxima

Love everything about the car except the rattles. I hear one above the steering column. There is one on the plastic piece that has all the temperature and radio buttons. I hear one over by the passenger side where the seat belt is located. Of course these rattles come and go. I took it to the dealer who appearently fixed a rattle but I couldnt tell. Also said that the rattle where the radio butttons were couldnt be fixed yet they somehow made the rattle louder. You also can actually see my passenger seat vibrate as Im driving although the wife doesnt mind it:)

  • Aswesome Car - 2011 Nissan Maxima

I just purchased my Maxima with premium pkg 3 days ago and let me tell you this vehicle is aswesome. I traded in my nissan Rouge and what a difference I actually took my daughter to purchase a nissan altima coupe another aweswome vehicle but after test driving the maxima I was offered a deal I couldnt pass on. The ride was smooth and the power is unmatched great value for this car compared to others I looked at like BMW, Audi and Volvo. I wish I would have opted for the Navi system but im sure I can get a nice portable one much cheaper. I am glad I purchased this car ill be traded into another one after my lease ends its the car for me.

  • Rattles and more. - 2011 Nissan Maxima

This car has more ratttles than a babies crib! I cant even find them all. I cant open the sun roof it rattles so bad. I have one coming from the back some where. There are others. The seats belts scratch up the inside of the passager sides. I also have a strong gasoline odor at times. Car is on its way to the shop.

  • Still convinced after 6k miles - No better Choice Out There! - 2011 Nissan Maxima

Bought my premium SV with every option possible in January. Amazing! I was totally impressed with these cars when my brother bought a 95 fully loaded. I loved driving that car. I love this one even more! Room? Tons. I drive co-workers to lunch too, and they are impressed with the room in the back seat. One owns a 2002. Noticeably more room here, which was intended! The AC blower is pretty loud, but that is because it is blasting you with lots of cfm. This is great when you come out to a hot car after work. What did the other person mean about the accessory? If you want the car accessory on, dont press the brake & push the button. Push it again for ON. Push it again for all off.

  • Not perfect, but is still Nissans 4DSC - 2011 Nissan Maxima

I bought my 2011 SV Sport right as the 2012s were coming out so I got a decent deal. I was really looking at Infiniti G37s but those dealers werent negotiating. The sport package is the best looking version, IMO due to the 19 inch wheels and smoked headlights, and its equipped with some of the extra goodies I would have wanted anyways. As of 9/17/12, I am just shy of 7000 miles on the odo.

  • junk!!! - 2011 Nissan Maxima
    By -

overpriced piece of junk. this is by far the worst riding car ive driven or been in. you feel every bump in this car even if the road looks smooth you feel everything, and god forbid you are accelerating when you hit a bump, you better be holding on to the steering wheel with two hands as tight as you can. besides the ride its not a user friendly interior either. the position of the power windows is on the dash toward the left of the steering wheel, making it almost impossible to adjust the mirrors while driving. 36k and no memory seats or heated mirrors?! what a waste of money. horrible gas mileage

  • Overall a great car! - 2011 Nissan Maxima
    By -

I have a 2011 Maxima with premium package and overall I absolutely love this car. I moved up from my 2009 Altima SL and couldnt be much happier. The only problems are interior noises from the radio/climate console (which i think could use a redesign), what sounds like the rear window, and vibration and noise from the front passenger seat when unoccupied. The noises seem to be worse when its colder out and I havent owned it during the summer yet so Im hoping to see a reduction of the noise soon. Other than that, I feel the nav and voice recognition system do not work very well. Otherwise, the look and feel of the rest of the car is great and think its a great car for the price.

  • Ask Thai meat....no potatoes - 2011 Nissan Maxima

Its great for that quick heading to the market, short trips to the country as long as as the roads are dry clear of snow and rain build up. The steering is great at that point, however, when the conditions get wet our icy, no matter how much asked is reduced there is still slippage.

  • 4 Door Sports Car with 5 Star Safety! - 2011 Nissan Maxima
    By -

I did a lot of research before deciding upon this car. Most important to me was safety, after being in a car accident a year ago it was clear to me that if someone can hit me out of no where, I need to make sure the next vehicle I have stands up to impact. This car has a 5 Star Safety Rating and side impact is well covered! The inside of this car makes you feel like youre wrapped in bubble wrap and foam! It has all the comfort and bells and whistles of a luxury car, with all the speed you need to safely get onto the highway of a sports car! Im very happy with my new 2011 Maxima!

  • Dont compare to Camry & Accord - 2011 Nissan Maxima
    By -

I recently bought a 2011 Maxima S and could not be happier with the car at the price I paid. I took the 0% NMAC financing, so I didnt get all the rebates; but, at about $26.5k, you have to compare this Maxima to cars like Acura TL and Lexus ES350. The 290HP, keyless ignition, all the safety features, the power seats, 6-disc changer and other features make this car very formidable against higher priced competitors. I know I dont have leather, but thats about all I dont have versus cars like that.
