Overview & Reviews
The Maxima has been fully redesigned for 2004. It now rides on the same underpinnings as the well-received Nissan Altima. This year's Maxima is longer, wider and more powerful than the previous version.
- Roomy interior, lots of upscale options, sweet V6, available with a manual transmission.
- Some small, oddly arranged controls.

Couldnt Be Happier - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Patrick Hand - May 22 - 2:10 amWhat can i say. I looked at every kind of car BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, Acura, and many other cars. For the money and quality you cant beat the Max. For acceleration it killed all the other cars that I tested. In a little over 5 months I have put 7200 miles on the car and no problems with it at all. The sound system is awesome along with the display of the navigation Def get the navigation it is worth it.

My Extreme Driving Machine - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By Meatball - May 18 - 10:00 amIve owned a 2004 for 36 months and the handling as well as speed exceed expectations for an auto in this price range. Interior is roomy, while avoiding stodginess and sound system successfully drives the full range of sound at any volume. On a scale of 1- 10, Id rate my Extreme Driving Machine a 20!! There is nothing to dislike. Once drivers are aware and manage the unfortunate torque steer, the car is very forgiving!! The Maxima is fun to drive, quick and even my 18 year old son wants to drive my Extreme Driving Machine . . . but I always refuse!!

Sports Car - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By saini - May 4 - 10:00 amVery excellent driving, like a Cheetah. I have the Elite model with navigation system. It has telescopic handle, Auto folding mirrors, all seats heated, beautiful interior and spacious. Many other features not seen in many luxury cars. Worth the money.

my new Maxima - 2004 Nissan Maxima
By connie winstead - April 29 - 10:00 amIve HAD THIS CAR A LITTLE OVER ONE WEEK aND SO FAR SO GOOD. THE GAS MILEAGE IS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTING SO FAR, IM HOPING IT WILL IMPORVE. RIGHT NOW ONLY 15MPG, mostly CITY DRIVING. The power, handling, and style is what I like best . Reliability is very important to me so only time will tell. Ive driven Honda Accords for over 20 years but the new Accord didnt offer the stylishness of the Maxima.

By Lori schneider schneidee - March 22 - 3:19 amIm getting another one. Its been perfect for me! Only your normal wear and tear repairs with over 140,000 miles. Great power and comfort ability. Best option by far is the heated steering wheel up here in the cold northern mornings.
