Overview & Reviews
There are only minor changes to this Nissan truck for 2006. A power package with keyless entry, cruise control and power windows, locks and mirrors is available for the King Cab XE, and NISMO and LE models now have chrome accents on the gauge cluster and air vents. Additionally, manual transmission-equipped NISMO models have a new shift knob for 2006.
- Powerful V6 engine, roomy interior, innovative bed features, stout frame and advanced off-road systems provide excellent capability in the dirt.
- No regular-cab body style available, too much hard plastic inside, choppy ride on pavement.

great little big truack - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Paul - July 8 - 9:50 amI was amazed the 2006 was so much bigger and better made than my old 2004. Although the truck is bigger phyiscally it gets better gas mileage than the 2004. I love the shifter on the console better than on the column. Plus this model has cruise control the 2004 did not. Interior is about 4 inches wider and longer and very roomy. 2 jump seats with the rear doors make this vehicle great to carry extra people when needed. Nissan rethought the concept of how a truck should be.

I love my truck!! - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By South Carolina Pride - May 29 - 5:36 amI have 29,500 miles on my Nismo Crew 4x2. White with Charcoal interior, tow package, audio upgrade (rockford fosgate 6 disc cd/sub-woofer), power sun-roof, bed-divider/extender. This truck handles well and looks great! I get compliments all the time on this truck. A lot of power. I upgraded the exhaust with a magna-flow exhaust with steel tip pipe adding a nice little growl and about 10 more horses. Plan on adding the air-raid air system/filter for more HP and increased fuel economy. This truck is a KEEPER!!

Best mid-sized crew cab of all - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By D. St-Pierre - May 16 - 2:40 amOttawa, Canada - Bought my Majestic Blue Frontier just before Xmas. I test drove all the competitors (Dodge, GM, Toyota and Honda) and at the end of the day the Nissan beat out the Toyota. The others did not compare. The clincher was overall price vs. options. This is not a truck for those looking for a Cadillac ride with truck utility. That being said, this is a very functional vehicle that can take anything thrown at it and then some. It has power to spare and will fit well with the hard core truck user or the urban tinkerer/craftsman/sportsman. City driving is harder on the mileage (14.9litres/ 100km) but the highway numbers are much better. The ride on the highway is exceptional

Best mid size without a doubt - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Bogarto - February 9 - 4:00 amLooked at all mid and full size trucks. Finally settled on Frontier 4x4 LE. 265 HP is awesome. Got the 4x4 havnt taken it off road yet. Nice size truck, bigger than any other mids I drove and smaller than the full sizes but with plenty of comfort. Jenkins Nissan in Lakeland, FL was very helpful, got it used with 14,000 miles on it.

This is truly a truck of all trucks! - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By John - January 17 - 7:16 amI originally wanted to purchase a 06 Dodge Dakota (4 door). After test driving and noticing what was not offered, I was disappointed. I looked into the Frontier by accident, and after test driving it, I fell in love with it. For the amount of money you pay, it is so worth it! Nissan did a great job with the interior design. Everything makes sense and layed out well. I love the subwoofer and the installed satellite radio. The spray on bed liner is an added bonus. Overall, the frontier drives great, looks like a million bucks, and definatly gets the looks.

Great truck!! - 2006 Nissan Frontier
By Terry - December 10 - 12:46 pmGreat truck, fun to drive. First new Vehicle, but I researched every midsize truck available. Frontier had the best bang for the buck. Ive had a couple of issues but they were handled by the dealer with little trouble.
