This Year's Model Updates:

For 2010, the Nissan Cube S and SL trims gain standard Bluetooth and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. The S also adds two additional speakers and an iPod interface. The Krom edition gets keyless ignition/entry, a color audio display and a rearview camera. The latter two items are also options on the SL trim. Finally, last year's Ginormous package has been discontinued to the lament of those with juvenile senses of humor.

Pros:
  • Peppy performance, generous passenger space, easy to park, generous standard features list, unique customization opportunities.
Cons:
  • Soggy handling, less cargo capacity and versatility than rivals, disappointing interior materials, intrusive wind noise.

  • In the Middle - 2010 with Auto Transmiss - 2010 Nissan Cube
    By -

Great gas mileage-drinks less gas than my former 1994 Honda Civic LX (I just put gas in at 250 miles-1/4 tank left). Driving in the wind is scary-it feels like the tires might give way and makes car swerve, badly. Great view of hood to map out lanes when driving. Bad thing that they dont have inside hooks to hang dry cleaning or other stuff. Less compartments (no compartments under seats).

  • Dynamic vehicle in a unique package - 2010 Nissan Cube
    By -

Ive owned this car about 6 months now, and I feel I can now make an informed decision on it. When I was shopping for this vehicle, I considered the Xb, Soul, Fiesta/Mazda 2, Suzuki SX4 and the Matrix/Vibe. What sold me on this one was the overall value the cube represents. The vehicle is deceptively big inside. Im 61 and have about 8 inches of headroom. The interior can swallow a lot of stuff. The available features for the money are impressive. Traction control, wheel mounted stereo controls, bluetooth, iPod connectivity. The car gets fairly decent gas mileage. The biggest holdup is its shape. A brick isnt very aerodynamic. If I had to do it over, I would buy this car again.

  • Sun Visors Dangerous - 2010 Nissan Cube
    By -

Visors are too big, they come down to low, blocking most of drivers front windshield view. Have to push all the way back towards window and still its hard to safely see out. Also they are not wide enough to help block sun through side window except for about 2" of very front area. Coming over Pacheco Pass with grand kids and we had sun directly through front window. Even my teenage grandson had a hard time maneuvering his visor. Plus trying to quickly adjust from front window to side was so dangerous, I almost wrecked into the guard rail a couple of times. I am very uncomfortable with these visors Now we have to find visors to buy that fit and do the job the right way. Anyone else agree?

  • Cube alignment - 2010 Nissan Cube
    By -

A four wheel alignment can cost over $1000 if the rear is out of spec. Nissan Cube has a non adjustable rear axle and Nissan will Not warrant replacement if out of spec. Shims are Not approved. Rotating tires hides the factory problem and shortens tire life.

  • One of a kind - something different - 2010 Nissan Cube
    By -

Just got it a week ago and getting more amazed at overall difference - which Id never known if I didnt drive it over a 100 miles. Especially different inside - feeling comfortable and even cozy. It literally keep dragging me to get inside. A feeling Ive never felt before even in more expensive luxury vehicles. Also, even it is under-power (just over 120 hp) and kinda noisy upon excel, the other standard features are just rocks(more than Hyundai or Kia except warranty)! Also considering 2010 record of top safety pick and reasonable price(same as Kia forte), how come there could be another choice? 100% Made in Japan is also a great add-on for a peace of mind watching TOYOTA crisis.

After doing some researched, comparing with Scion XB & Kia Soul, I thought I didnt like the shape of the Cubes back/butt, I thought of a bumble bee. But when I test drove it,I couldnt stop thinking about it when I got home. The next day went back to the dealer & decided to purchased the Cube for better gas mileage, design/style, price & lower APR, durability & reliability, I hope-since this is our 1st Nissan (like our 2 other dependable Toyotas)to mention some advantages over the other 2 I considered. I am very happy w/ this car, it feels like Im driving a small SUV, smooth ride & handling. My son loves to ride it,too as he can recline the back seat.
