Overview & Reviews
Though the Mirage sedan has been discontinued to make room for the all-new Lancer sedan, Mitsubishi will continue to offer the Mirage coupe. Only a few minor changes -- a new audio faceplate, an emergency inside-trunk release and a new chrome badge -- are in store this year.
- Sharp handling, low entry price, attractive shape.
- Horsepower-deficient base engine, minimal amount of features with DE trim, poor crash-test results.

Not bad, but nothing to write home about - 2002 Mitsubishi Mirage
By MG1 - February 22 - 10:00 amI bought this car when it was 8 months old fo a very decent price. Its good basic transportation but nothing more. It will get you to work and back with no major drama. Once it gets up to speed, it isnt bad, but it is very slow off the line. So slow, it can be dangerous. Drive it until it dies, because it has no resale value. Quality of materials is very cheap. I see 2-3 year old Mirages with the paint peeling off or very faded. I wax mine 3 times/year and so far I am lucky.
