Overview & Reviews
The Lancer Sportback wagon joins the lineup, along with performance-oriented Ralliart versions of both the sedan and wagon. All Sportback wagons as well as the Ralliart sedans get a new 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine rated at 160 horsepower (162 hp in Ralliart form). The entire Lancer line gets a redesigned front fascia with Mitsubishi's corporate grille design, plus new integrated bumpers, halogen headlamps and a relocated rear license plate.
- Base engine lacks punch, no manual gearbox in Ralliart models, ABS and side airbags not available on all models, small trunk in sedans.

xxxGrEaT cAr 2 HaVexxx - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By lancerbaby767 - October 4 - 8:23 amI bought a new Mitsubishi Lancer because i liked how it looked on the platform while i was looking at the Mitsubishi Montero Limited with my fiance. Being 22, i still wanted something sporty with a practical edge.

2004 Lancer Ralliart is the best - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By Sartuche24 - September 13 - 2:00 amI never did car for the Lancer before but once I saw the Ralliart I was like I want this car. It handles nice, pulls hard all the way to redline and I can spin the tires in 1st and 2nd which I like. The seats are straight from the Evolution GT-A and are really comfortable to sit in plus they hold your body while taking turns really hard. This is what the OZ edition should have been, also I like how they re-did the front end so it looks a little like the EVO. So if you see this car take it for a drive and I bet you will love driving it.

This is a great vehicle! - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By CarinErin - December 14 - 11:56 amI bought the Lancer because I wanted something similar to a Civic, but more unique. Buying this was actually a better deal than a Civic! It is fun to drive, gets great gas mileage, & looks great. It is a GREAT value! I love my Lancer!

Impressed With Lancer - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By AksJay - December 14 - 8:23 amI spent 3-4hrs a day to and from work in Chicagoland traffic and weather. I was very impressed with how it handled all of these situations. Its now 4yrs old with 121000 miles and still have not had any trouble except for tire issues which is expected with distance and weather issues. It still has same back brakes and suspension is near perfect. Very happy and will probably buy a new lancer soon.

more bang for your buck - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By donald blue - December 13 - 10:00 ami found that for a small car it is really fun to drive. i am typically a truck person but let go of my truck for my lancer o-z. it still has enough room to seat four people comfortably and move on down the road, and get good fuel economy.

Awesome Car - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By KO - December 5 - 7:43 amThe reason I purchased a Mitsubishi was because everyone I know has one. Best decision I have made. My car, brand new, came out to 10,000 flat. I am the worst person to take care of a car and considering that, my car is still in excellent condition. I will buy Mitsubishis until I die.

Love the Ralliart - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By hanars2000 - October 14 - 2:50 amIve had the car for 8 months and its only getting better. It is tight and its handling crisp. The interior is quiet compared to all the other in its class. I drove them all before I bought the Ralliart.

Wow, what a car! - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By Don Chamberlin - September 30 - 2:00 amI went to the dealership for the Evo. It became pretty clear that I couldnt fit it into my monthly budget. I was shown the Ralli Art. The suspension makes it fun to drive. A new engine gives it plenty of power. Also, the looks are really sharp. Plus, its a pretty unique car. I havnt seen anyone with one. I love the car and I had a smooth experience buying.
