Overview & Reviews
The Lancer Sportback wagon joins the lineup, along with performance-oriented Ralliart versions of both the sedan and wagon. All Sportback wagons as well as the Ralliart sedans get a new 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine rated at 160 horsepower (162 hp in Ralliart form). The entire Lancer line gets a redesigned front fascia with Mitsubishi's corporate grille design, plus new integrated bumpers, halogen headlamps and a relocated rear license plate.
- Base engine lacks punch, no manual gearbox in Ralliart models, ABS and side airbags not available on all models, small trunk in sedans.

Falling A-part - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By Goober - May 20 - 11:03 amSince I purchased my car Ive had things just break off or fall apart. Gas tank latch is broken, It takes 2 people to fill up/open gas latch. Passenger front window motor has cable tangled up and same with rear driver side door. I have only 2 functioning windows out of the 4. Heater control knob has broken off "Plastic part" cigarette lighter has no power. My car is a dream to drive in the winter with no heat & windows down with rain coming in on you. The trunk can only be open by latch, key is useless in the winter trunk will not open. WOW what a car!

poor parts availability - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By a stevenson - November 3 - 8:10 pmWhat good is the warranty if you cant get the parts. The air flow sensor went on my car 2000 km out of warranty and the co. refused to assist with cost. To make matters worse I have now been 8 days with no car while we wait for the part to be shipped from the States. Mitsubishi would be the last car I would ever buy. Warranty is all smoke and mirrors. The fact that they have no parts warehouse in Canada shows they cant back there vehicles and care very little about Canadian consumers. This car was a blast to drive but will be for sale if I ever get it back.

My Lancer - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By Kelly - June 16 - 1:13 pmI had my Lancer for about two years. I thought I would get good gas mileage, but I only got about 24 mpg on the highway. Furthermore, I was in a rear end collision and over $10,000 in damage was done just in body damage, the inside frame of the car did not hold up. This is not a safe car...

My First Car!! - 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer
By KoNi - April 6 - 5:46 amI purchased this car a few months after graduation! As my first car, the Lancer was a great investment. I havent had any problems at all for the past 2 years, even though I bought it used. Just keep them tuned and in good shape and your Lancer should last you with no problem.
