This Year's Model Updates:

The CLK coupe is revamped this year and its sleeker body sports a grille that echoes the bigger (and much more expensive) CL coupe's. Other news include the CLK430 becoming the CLK500 via a larger, more powerful V8 engine. The convertible ("Cabriolet") models are unchanged.

Pros:
  • Sleek styling, solid chassis, composed ride, comfortable front seats.
Cons:
  • Some subpar plastic trim, convertibles have small backseat and big blind spots.

CAR IS FUN TO DRIVE, BUT YOU BETTER NOT DRIVE IT OUT OF TOWN. IT WILL SHUT OFF WHEN ITS READY. THE DEALER DOESNT WORK TO FIND THE PROBLEM, THEY JUST SAY WE ARE SORRY WE CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH YOUR CAR. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME, THE C240 IS WORSE. THE SUNSHADES BREAK, THE WINDOW STOPS WORKING, THE KEYS ARE RECALLED AND THE DEALER NEVER LETS YOU KNOW. ALL IN ALL THE MB C240 AND CLK 320 ARE DEFINITELY A WORK OF CHRYSLER.

  • My 2003 Mercedes CLK 320 Convertible - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

When I purchased my 2003 pre-owned smoked silver Mercedes CLK 320 convertible with 19" chrome AMG rims and low profile tires I knew I was in for some major fun. The first thing that caught my eye (other than the glimmer of the rims) was the way the top retracted neatly into its space then dissappeared as the rear cover closed. The look of this car with the top down is by far the best convertible look I have ever seen. The exterior lines are true to a well designed Mercedes and the interior look does not lack at all in design but I prefer less plastic. The 265 HP engine speeds you smoothly around anyone in your way and the electronic shifter supplies you with the added hill power when needed.

  • Too many problems - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

Right when i drove out of the lot, there was a problems with the car. The Ac was hot, the windshield wiper was noisy, my malfunction thing was on saying my sos was not working, my back shades were loose making alot of noise. Overall this car is really fast with 362 hp, but too many problems. Had taken this car to the dealership way too many times!

  • MY CONVERTIBLE - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

I AGREE WITH THE POOR VISABILITY OUT OF THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. NEEDS WORK FRONT PLASTIC BUMPER IS A DISGRACE. FALLS OFF ALL THE TIME. BUT THE CAR HAS A GREAT LOOK AND FEEL. WHATS WITH THE CUP HOLDER? IT BROKE DAY ONE AND NEVER REALLY WORKED.

  • Great Overall Car - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

My purchase of my CLK 430 was an impulse buy. All the right pieces came together (price, availability, desire, etc.) and I purchesd the vehicle with little forethought. My first reaction was a bit of buyers remorse because of downsizing from a sedan and that I already own a convertable. After the first week however, this has become my primary vehicle and I love to drive it. The styling is great and the performance exceptional. My only complaint is the lack of amenities unless you puchase a vehicle with factory Navigation, phone, etc. all of my Audis have more interior bang for the buck. MB should work on this.

  • Excellent car with the right refinements - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

The CLK320 with the standard interior is awful. We had to pay an extra $7000 to get a decent interior upgrade (Designo Cashmere) which makes the car very cool overall. I cannot imagine sitting in the car without the upgrade...it is so cheapy and plastic, it is hard to believe that it is a Mercedes. Once we put the package together then it is a very fine car. Fun to drive, very solid, fun and safe interactive voice command features.

  • First Benz, not my last. Some problems - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class
    By -

I hear many people say they wait for their benzs. I bought my 2003 CLK 320 right off of the lot and insisted on a discount too. I have never bought a car or helped a person buy a car, and I help many, without a discount off the sticker price. And what is with all the statistics stating the average buyer is 45-50, male and makes over $95000? I am none of those, I am 32, and make a good bit less than that. I know how to budget too. I would recomend a benz even with such faults. All of my friends with cars of all makes have complaints.

  • Some minor problems, but its a cool car! - 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class

There are a few minor problems with my new CLK500. I had the first car which arrived in the Bay Area. I guess the first production batch always has some little problems. With the all of the special new features, new body look and 306 horsepower performance engine, I dont care about all of those little problems! Enjoy first then worry later!
