  • Reliving the 1970s - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

In the 1970s, if your car reached 50,00 miles it was time to get rid of it. At that time you could be assured that major problems would begin and continue. The 2010 C300 Mercedes-Benz had me reliving the 1970s. After 60,000 miles the car fell apart. I purchased a 2010 C300 in 2011. The car was a certified used car, mileage 9,403, from a local dealer in Pittsburgh and all of the service done on this car was performed at the dealership where it was purchased. The first 30,00 miles were OK, but since then I have had a major issue every 5,000 miles and things really turned bad after 60,000 miles. I have had two problems with the key system. One issue was covered under warranty and the second problem cost $1,000. The second problem with the key system had the car totally locked in park. Mileage 67,000. I had the car towed to a dealer. The car was locked in park and the car had to be dragged on to a flatbed truck, none of the wheels would rotate, and hauled to the dealer. This happened in Oct. 2015 and cost $800. The dealer technicians are competent, but the service is very expensive. If your trip for service costs less than $1,000 consider your self lucky. In Jan. 2016 the heater/AC blower was replaced for $600; mileage 70,300, and the car was just serviced at 69,945 miles for the annual Pennsylvania state inspection. In Mar. 2016 the right headlight went out and required dealer service to fix a wiring problem. On May 2, 2016 the left axle broke; mileage 72,137. For the second time the car was on flatbed back to the dealer. I was pulling out into traffic when the axle broke and the car was immobile. The cost this time was $1800. After the repair I drove the car home and it sat in the driveway until I purchase a new car. I would not drive the car anywhere out of fear it would breakdown. I am no longer the owner of a stylish, expensive, and UNRELIABLE Mercedes-Benz. If you still insist on buying a Benz, BUY an extended warranty and hope for the best.

  • Welcome to Benz......... - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I went to the "dark side. Coming from BMW 3 series coupe, I decided to try Benz for the first time and wow what a great choice. I love this car. It doesnt have as much power and doesnt handle quite as good as my 335 coupe but damn this car looks good and it has adequate power and handling. Comfortable solid ride which a nice quality sporty interior. No car is even close at this price point in my opinion, bang for buck. My bimmer was $200 more per month!

  • Poor quality workmanship for an expensive car - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I bought this car brand new at 0 km, the interior quality wears out very quickly, it is made of poor quality materials. The leather seats are poorly sewn and has ripped on me after 3 years of usage. My car stereo has had problems, sometimes it turns on, other times it doesnt even turn on, it is very randomly as to when it works. Most of the issues I have been encountering has been RIGHT after the warranty expiration of 3 years. I have had older cars made by Honda and Acura that have lasted longer and have kept their quality. I would not recommend a mercedez benz if you are looking for a luxury high end, it is not worth the price.

  • Sorry, Lincoln and Caddy; 20K update. - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

Just had 20K "B" service performed and so far, the car is just about perfect. The windshield wipers needed replacement at $63 for the pair but it takes longer to open the box than it does to put them on. The Michelin tires are wearing like nails: I made sure my car did not have Contis on it when I bought it from my horrible experience with them on my Jaguar X-type and Mitsubishi 3000GT. Mileage continues to improve and is now at 24.8 mpg average with most of the driving at 40-45 mph on rural back roads. Still no regrets about not buying the cramped, noisy Caddy CTS or the econobox-based Lincoln MKZ.

  • Love my manual C300! - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I bought this car used with 49k in June 12 Since then Ive put 16k on it with several long road trips. Until this body style came out, I wanted a BMW 325 as my next car. This is the first car Ive seen that compares with the Beemer in terms of styling. I love the looks of this car. I agree with some comments about the controls. Without the Nav system, you lose some features that other cars offer. However, these are minor issues that do not detract from the joy of driving this car. One negative is the different sized tires. Cant rotate and they wear out fast. I just replaced them. Well see how long they last. This car is great fun to drive and a head turner. No mechanical issues so far.

  • 2nd C300 better and better - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I originally owned a 2008 C300 4matic luxury sedan. I loved the car and had not problems with it but circumstances made if possible to get a 2010 C300 4matic luxury. MB did a great job on the 2008 and the 2010 is even better. This is the best vehicle I have owned and I have had BMWs, Audis and Volvos.

  • The Best German Luxury Sedan Available - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

After researching Audi, BMW, Lexus, VW- all which are nice cars-This car is truly the FINEST. Heavy solid build, smooth & very quiet drive train. One drive is all it take to prove this car is above and beyond the competetion. Timeless looks and elegance all in one. Everyone is amazed when they see the quality difference in this car.

  • What a great ride! - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Just got this car 2 weeks ago-- upgraded from my 2001 C240. What an upgrade! I love the look of the front and the two tone interior. Has decent acceleration, but at 5,800 feet where I live, I wish it was a bit more. Very tight and quiet, and comfortable seats. After 10 inches of snow recently, it maneuvered beautifully with the 4matic, but this sport version rides low and scraped over snow plow ridges in the street. I was hesitant about MB Tex upholstery, but I honestly cant tell the difference from the leather in my old car. This car does seem to have a rather large blind spot on the left. I find myself turning my head a lot more than before. So far I love this car!

  • Love My Benz - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

This is my fourth Benz, bought 1st new one in 95 (C200), next CLK Convertible 320, 1994 new, next new one, the 2010 E350 2door Coupe (loved it) for myself and for my wife, the 2010 C 300. My beloved wife of 42 years passed New Years Day 2014, didnt need two vehicles and wanted to keep my E350, but sold it and kept my wifes. Ive always had all my vehicles serviced every 10,000 miles at the dealership, my C300 has 74,000 miles and rides like a charm, never getting rid of that car. Dealer told me in 95, after buying my first Benz, a Mercedes would be the only car Id ever buy, he was right!!!!

  • Outstanding! - 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

If youre like me, this is probably your first entry into the Benz family, and its a great vehicle.
