The RX-8 is an all-new car for 2004. Its arrival marks the return of Mazda's rotary engine to the U.S. market. Priced less than Nissan's 350Z, the RX-8 also offers four doors and a usable backseat.

  I just bought one and i tricked it out and its a beast. 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. Its the best car ive ever owned except for my RX-7.

  I love this car. The engine is magnificent, silky smooth and powerfull. Its agile and convenient. I do regular weekend road trips with my wife and infant son, our luggage and all the required baby gear, with no problems. All this in a car with razor sharp handling. Incredible.

  Its been a long time comin...waiting for the rebirth of the rx car. The rotary engine is smooth, quiet and jumpy. People complain about horsepower, but its just that much more impressive. No one can handle me in the curves. Its the sexiest machine on the road for under $60K.

  Great handling, driving car. With the lower torque numbers, I started out driving in lower gears, ie, 3rd and 4th. After a little experience with it, I found 5th and 6th are strong gears also, but certainly not a blast at acceleration. The engine doesnt seem to lug at lower RPM, just doesnt pull out like a BMW. The car is well built, solid and fun!!

  Not too hot on gas mileage but otherwise a great car.
