This Year's Model Updates:

Now that the brilliant 6 sport sedan has been approved for production, the Millenia's days are numbered. Understandably, changes for 2002 barely register on the Richter scale. Are you ready for this? An auto-dimming mirror with compass is standard, and Snow White Pearl paint is changed to Snow Flake White Pearl paint. You can also get a Special Edition with a chrome-finished front grille, a black exterior and a black-and-ivory interior with titanium trim.

Pros:
  • Attractive exterior styling and interior design, supercharged Millenia S engine, competitive price.
Cons:
  • Cramped interior, weak base engine, lack of brand cache, floaty highway ride, aging platform.

  • Mazda Millenia S rules!! - 2002 Mazda Millenia

We purchased a Millenia after carefully evaluating several cars including the Acura TL, C class Benz etc. and found the Millenia to be the best combination of price performance and also a great looking car. Unbelievable build quality. This car gets a ton of looks as it goes down the road.

Bought one of the last in 2002. The looks sold it, not the test drive. Traded an 88 MX-6...wonderful car in all respects. Expected same from the Millenia and in 2 yrs havent been disappointed. Epitome of entry level luxury. Super quality all round. Smooth performer, definitely not a hot rod, but pretty quick. Not a hint of any problems. Id buy another new in a heartbeat if it were posible.

I love the look of my car I think it is a very classy looking car. Mine is black and looks great when it is clean and polished. I obviously havent had it very long but have always liked the look of these cars.

We traded-in our 1997 to buy the last of an excellent car line. Mazda should have come up with a replacemetn.

  • LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!! - 2002 Mazda Millenia

I have never liked Ia car I have owned for more than 6 months. Its been 13 months now and I LOVE THIS CAR!!! Wanted a Lexus ES300 and it was a little over my price limit but this car has made me very happy! Perfect experience like Ive never had before with dealership on purchase and service. One thing...you might want to have more option with roadside service than the free one offered through Mazda. The roadside service people are rude, limited in providers and virtually worthless. It took them 4 hours to get my keys out of my car.

  • Finally Got One! - 2002 Mazda Millenia

I have wanted a Millenia since they were introduced in 95 and finally got one! The 2002 S Model is stylish, fun to drive, and didnt break the bank. It does so many things right that I look past its few shortcomings. With only 13k miles on it, Ill be enjoying this one for a long, long time.

  • Cant Beat it for comfort! - 2002 Mazda Millenia
    By -

Purchased this car based on the age of my Subaru (7yrs - 100K) and I did not want to drive my truck every day. I couldnt be happier with the comfort and pickup on the car - a lot of stop and go traffic doesnt decrease the enjoyment

  • Still Turning Heads - 2002 Mazda Millenia

Purchased new, still turning heads when cleaned and polished after eight years! Trouble free (knock on wood).

  • Always wanted a Mellenia - 2002 Mazda Millenia

Cant believe how much I like this car. Great looking outside, and super comfortable inside. Can have a conversation or enjoy the music even with the sunroof open. I like NOT seeing one in every parking lot, or coming around every corner. Makes it all the more "special" Also like getting so many great features that would be options or not available on other cars.

  • Too bad is its last year!! - 2002 Mazda Millenia

Before the rebates, this car was out of my price range, but when I added it all up and realized I could get this car for about $21,000 after rebates I could have not pass on the oportunity. The fully loaded Accord and Camry dont even come with as many options and they sell in the $25k-$28ks depending on the options. Car companies should sell cars at such discounts more often. Such special deals make consumer dreams come true. I always wanted a car with all these features... The car drives great and is very comfortable. I get a lot of complements on the car, is very attractive! Great car for long trips.
