Best choice for a manual transmission - 3 months in. - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
By stirmyown - January 17 - 2:46 amWhen youve got to stir your own gears, your choices are limited these days. It seems like you can do it if you opt for a stripped down small car, or a tricked-out european performance sedan. In the mid-level market there is pretty much Mazda and Subaru. Good luck actually finding a stick in America for any other brand. Since I have kids in car seats, rear seat room was an issue. Car seats are ridiculously huge these days. So I had to go a little bit bigger but I didnt want a large SUV. They just arent fun to drive. I loved my old Subaru Forester, but unfortunately Subaru killed the driving feel in their effort to mass-market and Camry-ize the new Forester and Outback.

By troythiel - November 20 - 10:51 amhave had the car a little over a week, 15 GT in Reflex Blue with the almond leather package...and people on the street ask about it everyday...the car is just so dang beautiful that people want to know more about it....I dont have time to tell people about how great the car is...its great in every way so far!

By 97buckeye - September 30 - 11:20 amI have had my 6 for a month now, and have put about 1,800 miles on it. So far I am loving it. The ride is firm but smooth, steering is tight and accurate and the Bluetooth features are awesome. I almost bought a Kia Optima, but once I saw the Mazda 6, I was hooked. I have been more than pleased with my mileage. I have been tracking it with an app on my phone and I have been getting around 33 mpg +/-, with a 60/40 highway/city split. This is about the same as my old 2002 Honda Civic! I have been keeping my speed in check and havent hot-rodded it too much, but I dont drive it easy either.

By sdoublelatte - April 14 - 3:17 amI test drove the 2012 camry xle and honda accord ex-l the same day as test driving this mazda 6 gt. The mazda 6 was the only one that totally put a grin on my face! Its been a month and it still does! 1. I just the simple math for calculating mpg and I got 38mpg! Thats with about 70/30 highway/city. 2. The interior is so sharp! Subdued, classy. The accord was obnoxious with the 2 huge screens! 3. The bose 11 speaker sound system blows the other 2 cars away. I played metallic yesterday, drums, cymbals were crystal:-). 4. Rigid chassis, but not at all uncomfortable. It helps it turn on a dime. 5. Trunk is shaped like rectangle. you could actually fit large items in there.

By sabbasmas - April 11 - 7:40 amI just got my Mazda6 Touring automatic (White ext. and Almond/black leatherette inter.). I traded in my rattle trap 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe for it. I had CVT transmssion and other problems and it dissuaded me from buying Nissans for the future. I have been waiting for the 6 to come out and finally got one last week. I am averaging 33 mpg during this first tank of gas. The interior quality is a full class beyond anything inthis price range and appears on par with the Volkswagen CC or BMW 3 series. The 19 inch wheels and body are sexy and surprisingly, the car still rides very well with such low profile tires. It drives smoothly, but is very aggressive when you want it to be.

By skyactivity - March 9 - 11:36 amFor the same price as a boring old camry, you can have the Mazda6, an extremely good looking, road-hugging, fuel sipping beast of a car. It looks like an infiniti with more character, it drives like a low and light bimmer, and costs half of either. While not perfect on the inside (the seats leave me a little sore; maybe its just cause Im 64") its definitely a no brainer to get.

By andyady - March 7 - 11:45 pmI just got myself a 2014 Mazda GT with all the options available and I could not be happier. This car got style, a bold look, a great quality interior, the leather is great, sunroof is great, the acceleration and the manual mode are really fun. I love all the sensors including the backup, blind sports, night and rain sensors. The cruise radar is a must have. Can I also say that I love the 19" rims? Interior room is enough for what I need and I am 6.4. This car is great to drive and I love how it easily adapts to driving conditions. As far as gas mileage I think the authors estimates are not accurate however it does depend on how you drive it. I am close to 30 MPG combined, first tank.

Bluetooth is cumbersome - 2014 Mazda Mazda6
By greekguy9999 - November 8 - 5:29 pmWhen using bt with iPad 3, the shuffle and repeat functions do not work. They are grayed out. Once you have shuffle on your iPad selected the cars bt will inadvertently turn it off after you leave the car with the iPad. the only way to get shuffle back on is to clear the Mazda from the iPad, delete the device from the Mazda and start all over again. AWFUL. And the bt always starts to play music off my phone instead of having it disabled like I do at the beginning of my drive. ITs like it forgets I dont want the phone as my music player. Gas gauge does not reflect miles left to empty under 15. It plummets in minutes so dont go by it. Check engine lite came on after 1100 miles.

I like to drive, and in this car, I feel very connected to the driving experience. The steering is responsive, the fuel economy is great, yet the power is there when you need or want it. Interior is comfortable, ride is quiet, Bose stereo system is great.

By kb698a - June 7 - 1:31 amI just recently got my new Mazda 6, took my dealer over a month to find the one I wanted but it was worth the wait! The handling is great and responsive, takes corners with ease and minimal body roll. The seats are soft yet very supportive and very comfortable. I went with the 6 because of its aggressive and stylish design, and also the great fuel economy. I drive a 100 miles a day for work and needed to get good MPG. Above and beyond my expectations so far, getting 37 MPG average!! Also a lot of interior room, Im 6ft and have more than enough room. I dont even have to move my seat for my 63" friend to sit behind me with plenty of leg room to spare. And also awesome value!
