Have a 2004 6i auto with 120K, and replaced a 2012 Golf 2.5 with the 2014 6. Very happy so far. No issues. Lots of good cars out there, so small things make big differences to us, like the shielded trunk hinges, covered cup holders in the console, and steering wheel controls. Controls are well designed and easy to use. Interior storage could be better: compared to the 04 6i, the dash pop up is gone, the door storage holds less, and the console loses the dual level storage. For us, the garage door opener sits in the dash cubbie, the book on CD goes in the passenger door cubbie, and the charging phone sits in the top of the console cubbie. That doesnt work in the 2014.

  • This is one great car. Better than expected. - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

This is the best car buying decision I think I made. Stunning looks, solid build quality, good visibility, excellent handling and road feel, best steering feel I ever experienced. Have put on about 800 miles, getting 30 mpg (70% city). The ride and road feel is getting better every day as it is breaking in. Power and acceleration is quite good for 4 cyl, better than the Altima/Camry/Outback/Malibu I test drove. Hill start assist is a useful feature. I did not notice any significant road noise as some have mentioned. Gear shift is well tuned for optimum acceleration and fuel efficiency. Touch screen size is good enough, intutive and works well, no problem pairing BT phone.

  • Fun, Smooth, and Loud - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

Ill cut right to the chase. This is arguably the best-looking car on the road right now, at least with the red paint job. The car feels extremely planted on the highway, and the g-force generated by turning is strangely addictive. Power steering is light for day-to-day driving, but tightens up a bit when you push it. You feel every bump on the road, but I like that, as it makes you feel connected to the road, and there is certainly no chassis wiggle after hitting bumps. Definitely wind noise above 45mph or so, and I have noticed the back window creaking for the first 10-15 minutes of driving on a very cold day. Headlights could be stronger, but are adequate, and base sound system is great.

  • My awesome ride - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

First a foremost Im conformable in this car and Im 64",I have plenty of leg/head room. The engine and transmission are great together and the car just begs to be driven fast. The firm suspension is tight/firm but it brings fun to driving again around corners; on flat surfaces its rather smooth. 40mpg is an easy mark to hit on Hway. I have had no issues with the media system and my usb just plays songs like it should, it connects well with my phone too! This car really is fun to drive and with the manual is great! I test drove the Optima, Accord, Fusion and this car bet them all in comfort, features, handling, and style! Get it and youll love it.

  • Mazdas Fusion Fighter! - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

Looking to replace my 2010 Fusion, I was *this* close to choosing the redesigned 2013 Fusion, but luckily waited a couple weeks for the new Mazda 6 to arrive. The 6 has a much more driver-oriented dash than the Fusion. MyFords touch screen is simply hideous, while my 6s Technology package includes the Command Knob which is like the BMW iDrive. The 6s Skyactive engine delivers plenty of power without the added complication of Ford turbocharged engines (already 4 recalls!). While both 6 and Fusion are beautifully styled, I think the 6s high end Jag-like looks will wear better.

  • Wowow... Sleek Curves & brute... power & efficiency - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

I was really impressed with the driving dynamics and fuel economy of my 2012 mazda3 skyactiv. I was planning to get the cx5, but when i test drove the 6, I left the dealership with it. This time I am getting the 2.5 skyactiv, more power and torque. The car looks fantastic in pictures but when I saw my actual car, white pearl, wow wow wow. So much better even. Its a combination of sleek, sexy and macho upfront. I am getting so much for the price. Interior is high end, classy not over. This is a head turner. Friend said it has the presence of the big BMW 5 series.

  • Bought the Sport - great deal for the money - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

I love the cars looks. I named my car "Big Red" after a former neighbor, a zaftig redhead. I love the great mileage - right now avg = 33.5, but Ive done better. I got the auto trans and the rear view camera and the fog lights - all of which I am happy with.

  • Just LOVE this car! 2014 Mazda 6 Grand Touring - 2014 Mazda Mazda6

Just a tremendous car if you appreciate handling and enjoy driving. Has me looking forward to highway on-ramps and off-ramps. So stable and planted in corners! Good power, nice 6-speed Auto Transmission (love the paddle shifters on the Grand Touring), mileage is excellent -- easy to get between 35-40 on the highway at normal speeds, and even in-town, it usually gets around 30. It rides firm, no question: if you want a cushy ride, this isnt your car. But it rewards you every time the road starts to curve, and always delivers really good mileage. Good interior space, nice flat trunk, nice back seat. This is absolutely a must-see if youre considering any of the other family sedans.

Just have over 500 miles on it now and the first tank of gas returned 33 mpg. Very happy with car so far. Definitely will be adding cold air intake and window tint. Wish it came with privacy glass from factory.
