Overview & Reviews
All new for 2004, the Mazda 3 receives only minor changes for 2005. The four-door "i" model gets a new 15-inch wheel cover design, and Sirius Satellite Radio is now available on all models.
- Fun-to-drive character, stylish interior design, strong engines, hatchback utility.
- Ride might be too stiff for some, a few ergonomic quirks, tight rear legroom.

Great Value - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By Jeff - May 26 - 5:03 pmI really made the right decision with the charcoal grey 5 door S. Black leather, sunroof, 6 disk in dash, 17" wheels and a very nicely done interior make this car a pleasure. I have read about peoples winter issues and I live in the NE and believe the fault is more the Goodyear tires that come standard. I recently put a set of Nokian WRs on the car and have had no problems whatsoever in the winter. The handling of this car is great! The feedback through the steering wheel keeps the driver in tune with the car at all times. One word for the car is tight! Int/Ext styling are sharp, hatchback holds a ton of stuff. Best car around for the money! Gets 28mpg with spirited driving. Go get one!

I LOVE my M3 - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By m3sguy - May 12 - 12:36 amIts Zoom Zoom Zoom to the fullest! Fantastic Car and so much fun to drive. If you can, get the S edition (Grand Touring for the 06 models). The 4 door S sedan in Rally White is what I have with all 4 packages. The leather in the Mazda 3 smells so so good! :-)

Friday afternoon car - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By Allen G - April 29 - 10:10 pmPurchased brand new. Looked great, sporty, fun to drive, typical great Mazda clutch. However, I feel my car was built on a Monday morning or Friday afternoon, I had nothing but problems with it in the year & a half I owned it. Pieces of trim falling off, just about every sensor/idiot light would come, check engine, air bag, etc. needing a trip to the dealership. One time it would not start and had to be towed to the dealership, luckily it was in my driveway at the time. I was very fortunate that the dealership/Mazda had a loaner car program, which I needed on several occasions, otherwise those expenses would have added up, but I still had to take time off for drop off/pickup.

Most Fun You Can Have For Your Money - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By Hu - April 6 - 1:10 amThis is the finest car Ive ever driven. The ride is a little on the sporty side, and the fuel economy is nothing to brag about (~20 mpg in town, 26 on the open road), but the performance is awesome! Acceleration, braking, cornering are all magnificent. Ive never owned a true sports car, too cheap, closest I ever came was a VW Scirocco. This Mazda is far better than that Scirocco in design, convenience features, quality of materials in the cabin and PERFORMANCE!!!

Zoom-zoom... for under 20K! - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By L. Wilson - March 7 - 3:53 pmMy beloved Honda Prelude was on its last legs. In a search for a new vehicle I discovered its next to impossible to get away from the boring design, cheap construction, and gutless performance of new vehicles out today. Fortunately, I came across the Mazda 3. It handles better than many cars Ive driven and the 2.3L engine is a nice bonus for someone who likes a little get-up-and-go. The brakes are good, however we also own an RX8 that has the best brakes Ive ever tested. I love the styling of the hatchback and the interior is comfotrable. Fuel economy is great as well, considering our RX8 gets 16mpg!! For the money the 3 is a great value.

Love it! - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By Kristin - February 6 - 2:30 amI absolutely love my Mazda 3! My dad leased mine for me while working at Ford and I loved it so much that once he had to turn it in I decided to buy it as my first car! Its so much fun to drive and while it is a compact car its much roomier than most. I also love how its a lot sportier than the Focus i used to drive. I dont think you can get a better car for the price!

Fun, Hot, Reliable, Good buy! - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By mazdaisgreat - January 6 - 12:40 amI love this car to death. Its such a great buy for what what you get. Its stylish and fun to drive. Ive never had one problem with it. The only complaints are that the trunk doesnt open with the remote. The AC/heater is a little weak too. But I live in San Diego so this is not really a big problem for me.

much more than expected - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By cosmoK - December 22 - 7:36 amincredible. hats off to mazda for making a fun and a solid-value vehicle. for the price i paid, i got much more than a civic lx. Handles sure-footed around turns and the interior finish is simple but nice.

Its all right! - 2005 Mazda Mazda3
By Tucker72 - December 21 - 7:40 amI think my mazda is ok its fun to drive. But theres nothing that keeps me excited about it. Its got average everything, nothing spectacular. The looks are nice but the lack of power even with the 2.3L is a bit disappointing.
