my car is a 2007 cx7 the air compressor went out which also caused2 pullers to have to be replaced. no one has a compressor and i can not drive the car. i find this very strange because the car will not run. so i am stuck with a car note, plus an additional cost of transportation and a repair bill. there ii a problem with these cars and there is no recall on them.

  • My CX-7 experience after 2 years - 2007 Mazda CX-7

I love the way the CX-7 drives, when I got the junky stock tires off and upsized to 255/55/18 the ride not only got quieter but less crashy. Handling grip increased big time as well.. Next, the A/C compressor is a wide-spread issue and Ive come in contact with it as well. It effects all 2007 models and some 2008s. When it happened to me I immediately had to stop driving the car, driving it any further will cause damage to it. Otherwise, my CX-7 has been mostly problem free for 52,000 miles. Nothing wrong with the turbo or the engine. Usually complaints online are far more concentrated than the actual problem itself and thats what Ive discovered personally..

  • DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY THIS CAR - 2007 Mazda CX-7

I bought my 2007 Mazda CX-7 Turbo with AWD a year ago. A few months ago I needed to renew my inspection. I drove down to the dealership to get it inspected, and they told me the codes in the monitors are in readiness mode. My fiance and I took the car out to the highway and all in all, by the time we got back to the dealership, we had been driving for 3 hours. 3 major codes still havent come in yet and I have been taking the car on major trips for the last three months. I have been making sure all of the oil changes and maintenance is done. Still not sure what the issue is. Ive been on the phone with Mazda dealerships and Ive taken it to a few different mechanics and nobody has an answer.

  • Nice Ride but Comp. System is off - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Ive purchased my Madza CX-7 three months ago and the transmission and tire warning lights came on three times already. You wouldnt think warning lights will come up this soon after a new car purchase. Yet again, I need to take it back to the dealership for a check-up. Something is wacky with the computer system.

Fast car, but loud while driving, can hear the road and anything that hit the inside wheel well. Sometimes it is uncomfortable. Kinda low to the ground. Not like a regular SUV. Very sporty and fun to drive but more like a sports car. Love the transmission, the ability to choose automatic vs. gears. Turns on a dime, very tight steering. rooming back seat. but small area in back. Traction control is good too.

  • A true "Sport" utility vehicle - 2007 Mazda CX-7

The CX-7 is the anti-Toyota. Toyotas are great reliable products, and there are many people who love the isolated ride, but for those who like to experience the "Sport" in SUV, the CX-7 is a great alternative. In all I am very happy with my CX-7, however there are things to note. First is the there is a noticeable turbo lag, which at times makes the acceleration a little unpredictable. The ride is definitely on the stiff side, which is great for cornering, but not so great for those who like a smooth ride. This also contributes to the road noise at highway speeds. There is some torque steer from the front wheel drive. In all it is a great car for those who dont want to buy a Toyota.

  • Do your homework - poor A/C - 2007 Mazda CX-7

This is not a SUV as they claim, it is a car with more headroom. Make sure you check the A/C. Very weak - a 4 cylinder engine is too weak for this car.

We were looking for a vehicle with some cargo and good safety scores. The CX-7 delivered and much more. It was roomy enough for a three adults and a child. It has exceeded expectations in all departments except gas mileage. The sleek design does turn heads as well as its potent 244hp turbo. There is a little bit of turbo lag but the leather front seats are comfortable enough and give you that performance car feel. Handling is surprisingly good for $30k crossover. Love the xenon lights as well as the easy to read instrumentation panel. The premium fuel requirement is disturbing especially with todays gas prices. And the mileage could be better. Not satellite ready. It is an option.

I used to have a Mazdaspeed Protege but I wanted to change. I dont like SUVs but I saw the CX-7 at the dealer and I fell in love with it. The styling, the inside, and how it feels when you drive is just a sports car with more space and more height.

  • Love to drive it but its junk - 2007 Mazda CX-7

I have had the transmission replaxed after 30,000 miles and the keyless entry replaced & thank the lord it was under warranty as well as the transmission. At 25,000 miles I needed new tires even though I rotated them as needed as well as all maintenance thru the dealer. I have always owned GM products & got atleast 40,000 on my tires so what is the deal with that? $800 a bit early. The last straw was a headlight that went out and it was a board that was $850. My milage at this time was 36,500. Too bad for a car I love to drive but will never buy another one & am looking to trade for a GM model. That will be the last foreign car I buy!!
