bought this car new late 08 for 21 otd. Used it for the first time in a snow storm in the sierras and was completely confident with its ability. Not one problem with anything. wife loves it, i never get to drive it. Turbo needs the boost increased a tad. wish it came with the long roof racks like the cx-9. I feel i got more than my moneys worth.

So far I have driven the suv from Tx to Ca it was a blast it is a well put together vehicle. Mazda I thank you for this vehicle, it is just great. I have every possible option and it is just great. Only thing it is missing is bluetooth for my cell phone and I have had that installed - now it is perfect.

  • MAZDA CX-7!! DONT BUY - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Well I bought my mazda cx-7 in May 2010 used, after my cooper broke. About 4 months since i bought it I started to hear a rattle sound when starting it, went to 3 machinics, they said they didnt hear it, and nothing was wrong. I knew somthing was, but what could i do. It broke down 150 miles away from our home, had it towed for $500, to cheyenne WY MAY 20th 2011. Time chain broke, timing censor broke the chain. That caused the pistons to hit the head, the rattle sound caused half the problems, they said. I have to pay $3,000 (military discount) to fix it, its been 2 almost 3 months & i still dont have my damn car. Everytime they call theres mre problems wrong, more money, more time

  • Fun Ride - 2007 Mazda CX-7

My wife and I had a second child which prompted us to start looking for something will more room like an SUV/CUV. We were trading in an Acura TL which is a fun car to drive. We were looking for something that was fun to drive like the TL but had more room. We started shopping around for an Acura RDX, Volvo XC90, Subaru Tribeca, and Nissan Murano. Then we found the CX-7. WOW! The test drive sold us on the spot. A fun ride with a model style that turns heads. It had great pickup and cornering. It had room for family use with a young sporty look and feel we were looking for. We ordered all of the extras except the Tech Package. The Bose system is crisp.

  • VERY Disappointing - 2007 Mazda CX-7

Brand new, 1st 6 months the AC compressor was replaced. About 2 months later the Turbo censor went out thank God this was still under warranty. So I driving home on July 20 something and the just dies. No lights no warnings. Had the car towed to firestone they couldnt figure it out after a day and a half. Towed the car back to Mazda they said it was the motor. It had to be replaced do to improper oil changes which is B.S. I think this is a bad model I have read similar problems.

  • Poor Gas Mileage - 2007 Mazda CX-7

This car is fun to drive. It lives up to its Zoom Zoom motto but thats it. It requires premium which in this economy not good. Tire life was about 25k miles had to replace relatively early and the tires were expensive $150 per tire.

  • One week of ownership - 2007 Mazda CX-7

After many weeks of looking. Decided on CX-7. Very happy we did. It is a beautiful vehicle and great to drive. First tank of gas was 19.8mpg mostly highway. My wife loves it. We also have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline and love it, but the CX-7 is a lot more fun to drive.

  • Never Mazda never again - 2007 Mazda CX-7

AC went out twice. 30 days after AC failed turbo failed. Mazda will not honor warranties and will try to find anyway they can to back out. If you own one sell it or start saving your money for the inevitable and very costly repairs.

  • Doom, Doom, Doom! Please Do not buy a Mazda! - 2007 Mazda CX-7

I am one of the many 2007 Mazda cx-7 owners who has serviced my vehicle according to the manual. The turbo, drive chain, and A/C failed...Mazda USA claims that sludge caused the failure. Mazda will not honor their warranty. I have every receipt for service. The dealer is supporting my claim that I have maintained the vehicle but Mazda USA will not stand behind their product. Mazda USA even went as far as to insinuate that I may have paid for oil changes that were never performed. Would one of Americas largest retailer do this??? I think Mazda has a long history of oil related issues and will do and say anything to avoid doing whats right. DO NOT BUY A MAZDA!
