The Sorento is an all-new SUV from Kia. Larger and more powerful than the pint-size Sportage (which is expected to return for 2004 after a 2003 hiatus, by the way), the Sorento straddles the emerging middle ground between small SUVs and midsize SUVs. And it does so while offering interested buyers true off-road ability. Key competitors are the Ford Escape, the Honda CR-V, the Jeep Liberty, the Nissan Xterra and the Toyota Highlander.

  Wow, I never thought in a million years Id own a Kia! I researched this one to death and feel like a made a great purchase. I really enjoy driving this vehicle and I love the response I get from people when they ask what brand it is.Most say "really?" or "youre kidding!" It was a bit of an adjustment going from a Town & Country van(ultra smooth, luxury) to a rougher riding SUV. But Kia has really done a great job making this vehicle seem luxurious.Of course I got the lux package. I may consider buying smoother riding tires when its time to replace the originals.

  Anyone looking for a midsize SUV should take a look at the Kia Sorento. I at looked them all and th Kia was the best value. I bought the EX model fully loaaded. I have had it for a week and so far my wife and I love our Sorento. Dont be put off by the fact it is a Kia, the warrenty sold me. I will keep you posted on how my Sorento is doing,

  Have only had my Sorento for a few days, but I already know this is a keeper. Excellent styling inside and out! Awesome features for the price. Overall I think I have made a wise decision to buy the Sorento

  BEFORE BUYING THE CAR I DID MY HOMEWORK, AND WHEN I WENT TO THE SHOW ROOM I WAS REALLY IMPRESS, THE TRUCK HANDLE A LOT BETTER THAN EXPECTED, I COULDNT GO BACK TO MY FORD, SO I TOOK IT HOME AND I HAVE NOT REGRETED FOR A MOMENT, THE WARRANTY IS THE ICING ON THE CAKE,FUEL THIRSTY BUT NOT MORE THAN ANY BIG V6...

  I really have enjoyed owning this car. Have had needed no service except routine. Just replaced the tires at 60,000. The only thing that could be improved is the recoil of the driver side shoulder seat belt, often doesnt return to original position and gets caught in the door. Otherwise ... love it.

  1 week old. Love the comfortable ride. Slow off the line unless you hit pedal hard which isnt a big problem because most of my driving is in town. Still think its the best looking SUV out there. The 1st ride on the highway was fantastic. At 70mph ride is smooth. Gas guzzler though, but I knew that when I bought it. Very safe vehicle with all the extras. Engine noise a little high but bearable.

  I researched a lot of SUVs and the Sorento had all the features I wanted, but for 10,000 less! I got the EX- Luxury package, has everything but the tow feature. I drove a Durango for the past 4 years so the gas miliage doesnt bother me.

  this is the best ride i have found in the suv market. the downside is supposed to be the resale value but witn 50k a year the dollar savings has proven to be worth it. a great ride, nice style and over 17 mpg all that for 25000 dollars and the 100,000 mile warranty doesnt hurt

  I am surprised by the solid construction of the KIA, the ride is above average, the interior is comfortable. The dealer and the sales rep were great to deal with and the car is great for the price.

  The Sorento now has 38k on it. The cupholder in the back could have been built a little better. We get 22 plus on the highway. People whining about mileage should remember this is a body on frame vehicle. A truck on wheels. Look under a Sorento and you will be amazed at the heavy duty construction. Stereo is out of this world It rides like a big ol Cadillac. It does tend to be a little stiff on some bumps, but Im sure this is because it is intended for some off roading. Overall, I cant believe this is a Kia. Its the best thing Kia has ever put out. I was not even going to test drive one, because I figured it would be like the Sportage. The warranty is "THE BEST."
