This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, the Sedona has a revised grille with a larger logo. The EX model has a new alloy wheel design, while the LX has redesigned plastic wheel covers. A center tray table with cupholders is now standard on both EX and LX.

Pros:
  • Excellent value, roomy interior with lots of cupholders and storage bins, solid build quality, lengthy warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Below-average gas mileage, missing a few key minivan features, potentially expensive to repair in minor collisions.

  • Pretty Good Kia Minivan - 2004 Kia Sedona

I am very happy with my 2003 Sedona EX minivan. We purchased it for an excellent price. It is a comfortable vehicle which has transported us from one end of Texas to the other. It possesses a solid feel as you drive it. As long as you remember its not a sports car (dont gun it!), acceleration from a standing start is acceptable. Fortunately, the seats arent too difficult to remove.

as a family eith five, and the need for a car seat. the kia offers a roomy interior. The stereo does not have bass and treble controls. I wish it had better miles to the gallon for around the town driving.the pick up is good for passing and parkway driving. love the color. I think for the money, and the warranty it cant be beat.

  • NOT THE BEST, BUT NOT THE WORST - 2004 Kia Sedona

BEFORE I BOUGHT THIS VAN I HAD A CARAVAN.THE KIA IS DEFINITELY NICER,BUT IT ALSO COST MORE. I WISH IT HAD MORE ROOM OVERALL. THE GAS MILEAGE IS NOT GOOD BECAUSE THE CAR IS SO HEAVY. BUT, BEING HEAVY IS A PLUS IF YOU GET INTO AN ACCIDENT.ITS QUIET INSIDE AND I LIKE BEING ABLE TO TURN DOWN THE MUSIC IN THE FRONT WHILE LEAVING IT LOUDER IN THE BACK. THE INTERIOR IS CLASSY. THE TRAY IN BETWEEN THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT IS A GOOD IDEA, BUT I CANT FIT MY ARM DOWN BESIDE IT IF I DROP ANYTHING. THERE ARE NO CUP HOLDERS FOR THE SECOND ROW SEATS. ALL IN ALL, THE VAN IS VERY NICE. I LOVE THE WARRANTY. I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE SERVICE YET. THE AC IS GREAT.

But I love it. Great value minivan. No ego, no flash, but its great for the kids and groceries. A little slow to blow hot air on cold mornings, and the turning radius is ridiculously wide. Other than that, no complaints. Purchased Dec. 2005 with 9k miles for $14,500. DVD, sunroof, EX model with ABS.

I have traded my mercury villager LS for this Kia Sedona ex. I love everything about it except for the blind spots and gas mileage. this van has a lot of power, very comfortable. this is wierd but I get better gas milage when I use the techron. any other gas I get poor mileage on it. thanks to edmunds I got this van for 18,000 before taxes and lic. fee!

I love everything about my Kia, except for a few things like the lack of legroom in the last row. I cannot get anyone over the age of six to sit back there. It is very uncomfortable. I have also found that I am not getting very good gas mileage with the van. I have noticed that I am only getting about half of what was advertised when I purchased the van. Other then that my family loves riding in the van.

I have owned this Kia for over 2 years and it is a great auto to own; for the money you could not buy a better van with all the equipment on it. The gas mileage is the only problem I have had to date; I get 10 to 12 in city and 15 to 16 on highway. They say everything is ok with the car but still gas mileage doesnt lie. Other than that it is a GREAT CAR!

  • Unbeatable Value - 2004 Kia Sedona

Features, warranty, and price got us to look at Sedona. Test drive, nice interior and exterior design, quality materials, and excellent build quality sealed the deal. Nothing else comes close when price is considered.

Reading owners manual helped us figure out the various bells and whistles. It was worth the time.

  • Great Value - 2004 Kia Sedona

Overall, a great value with style. Attractive and affordability without a few "extras" that the more expensive models offer. Well worth the money saved!
