Overview & Reviews
Kia joins the minivan rumble with the introduction of the Sedona, the lowest-priced minivan in America. Standard on the Sedona are such niceties as air conditioning, power windows, cruise control and auto on/off headlights. Upscale EX models get a CD player, interior wood trim and power front seats. All Sedonas benefit from Kia's impressive Long Haul Warranty with drivetrain protection for 10 years or 100,000 miles.
- Unbeatable price, attractive array of standard goodies, great warranty package.
- Missing some key minivan features, engine could use more power.

Bang for your buck - 2002 Kia Sedona
By skeptiq - July 21 - 3:00 pmI have owned this for over a year and I can honestly say I have really enjoyed it from the first day. Main purchase reason was more space for trips with the family. The ride is great, the seats are comfortable, and I have only had minor issues (one front wheel bearing and the dealership replaced both under warranty with NO hassles). Great vehicle for the money, but plan on keeping it as the resale value is awful!

Kia you should not own - 2002 Kia Sedona
By Vilma Ramos - July 19 - 2:00 amThis Mini van handles well its fun to drive. But the engine shakes, The shock obsorbers in the front make a thumping noise, the rear door is hard to close. The belts on the engine make noise and it has a flimzie accelerator. When you take it to the dealer to see if the can make adjustments/repairs they tell you its a kia. So my recomendation is not to buy one.

Sedona - 2002 Kia Sedona
By cconaf2 - May 7 - 10:00 amI Have 13000 miles on it with no problems. My grill has a spot that is pealing the black paint away. I have driven from DC to Texas with no problems. I think it has good acceleration. Just wish the gas malage was better.

Good Value - 2002 Kia Sedona
By Martino - February 18 - 2:00 amOwning the Kia just over a year now, Ive found it to be a good choice for the value. The Van has performed well and has been a pleasure to drive on long trips. The Van suffered a broken timing belt at 12000 miles, because of a plastic cover breaking in the timing belt housing. Kias roadside assistance and reimbursement program worked flawlessly.

I like the kia - 2002 Kia Sedona
By lidy - February 5 - 10:00 amI like the Kia Sedona because it drives well and the van is comfortable and I can fit 3 car seats. The only problem I have had with the car is the check engine light would come on due to not putting the gas cap on and turning it 3 clicks. Over the last year this has happend four times.

Sooooo Glad - 2002 Kia Sedona
By SUV to MiniVan - December 24 - 10:00 amI am a new owner and I must say, I love this Minivan. Its comfort can only be compared to the top sellers. Its look is very impressive to the eye, its price is the best part of all. I hated driving my 2000 Ford Expedition. It is huge and cumbersome to drive, ya should have seen me trying to put my baby in the car seat, had to get in the truck. The Sedona is easy access from both sides. I could easily afford all of the top brand and I test drove them all, I even put a $1000 deposit on a Honda and changed my mind at the last minute after driving the Kia

Back in Love With It - 2002 Kia Sedona
By Traveling Mom - September 18 - 2:00 amBought this Summer 02. In the first month, it broke down 4 times. We were just about to get going on the Lemon Law thing, but Kia really took care of things. They found the problem (finally -- some wire that was shorting out), sent their national customer service guy and mechanic to inspect it (the guys at the dealership were running around cleaning and acting nervous, so I was impressed), and have been in touch with us since to make sure were happy. Van is running great ever since.

Have to agree with other Kia owners - 2002 Kia Sedona
By mishimin - September 11 - 11:50 pmI love the design and handling of this vehicle. Down fall is back door is heavy and must be slammed in order to be closed. I have gone through 2 sets of tires on the front in a 1year, brakes and alternator went out on the same week so that was costly. Kia puts in ceramic breaks which cost more and was told by dealers and repair shops Kias alternators are infamous for failing so you must put in a new one or that one will go bad. Have had 2 new batteries. Front end, paint and windows are new due to a hurricane so I wont replace that.

1st Mini Van - 2002 Kia Sedona
By Corlisia Sims - November 30 - 10:00 amI bought this van on 7/27/02 as it currently has 1300 miles on it. I have not had any problems except for a little rattle coming from the drivers side dash area. Its a great van compared to other vans Ive drove and researched. The price is great. The gas miledge is poor. I guess Im use to driving my BMW which I can go 400 miles before I have to refill compared to 200 on the Sedona LX. Hopefully this Kia will hold up. Never thought I would be buying a Kia use to BMWs, Toyotas. But when I saw the KIA SEDONA I know I had to get it based on the price and the standard features!!
