Although the exterior styling may look familiar, Jaguar's historic sales leader, the XJ, has been completely redesigned for 2004.

Pros:
  • Supple ride quality, powerful V8 engines, roomier interior.
Cons:
  • Fussy interior controls, clumsy transmission shifter, CD changer is still in the trunk.

  • An Elegant Rocket - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series

This is my 4th Jag. This Jag has the power and driving fun of a BMW with the distinctive elegance of a Bentley. All cars in this price range are jewelry with wheels but this car is the best car for the money. It is less than an S500 but better. Mercedes are so common and look like Hondas, BMWs look odd, and Audi, well they look like a VW or Toyota. When you spend this much money for a car you want something special, unique and that stands out. This car has it all..elegance, room, power and all the features you would expect of a world-class, head-turning luxury sedan.

This car is a beast. I swear there is a nuke under the hood. If you buy the car the 20" are a must.

  • Best Car in Sight. - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series

When driving my newly purchased used Jaguar XJ8 I feel like I am driving the best car in sight, no matter where I am. It has a combination of speed, comfort, agility, style, reliability, and economy that makes it the best car on the road in America. The interior has features similar to the Bentley and Rolls Royce, also designed by Van den Plas, the man who worked on the interior of this Big Cat Jaguar. The full power of the car is felt in the passing lane acceleration, when it pushes you back into the seat. The eye catching looks when you pull up in front of the finest hotel in town, or the great admiration of all the people who simply root for Jaguar owners is not to be missed.

  • The Best Of The Best! - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series

When driving this magnificent vehicle, you always feel you own the road! Before purchasing the 2004 Jaguar XJ, I previously owned a 2000 XJ8 and felt the same way about it as I do about the 2004 Jag... Special! During my life, I have owned Saabs, Mercedes-Benzes, BMWs, and a Range Rover, but I have found that driving a Jaguar is like driving no other! What a car!

  • Still unsure - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series

Always liked the looks of the Jag, I have yet to find anything I dont like about it (well maybe). The car has a little too much road noise. It comes from the front area and is more noticeable at slow speeds and when slowing down to a stop. It has all weather tires and this might be the reason for this or maybe Im being a little over the top.

  • XJ8 Luxury Class Leader - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series
    By -

The totally new XJ8 is a truly enjoyable luxury car! It has everything a luxury car needs to have. Jaguar didnt leave anything out when they redesigned the XJ8. The option list is small since just about everything you need is standard. The available options truly can turn your car into one that you will meet the needs of all the occupants. The car feels so lightweight due to its aluminum body. It is very stiff and firm. The ride is very smooth and controlled with its computer controlled self leveling suspension. It will be interesting to see how Jaguar will improve such a fine automobile.

  • Remarkable value. Exceptional car - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series
    By -

This car has to be the best value on the market. It get a respectable 24 MPG with 400 horses under the hood. This is not your dads jag. It feels light and responsive. When you hit the sport button the throttle is very responsive and you feel extremely fast. The interior is perfect. Everything that looks like leather IS leather and everything that look like metal IS metal. Things you expect when your original sticker is $90k. Ridiculous depreciation that is mostly due to the sins of the past make this car a remarkable value. Currently the car has 85,000 miles and Ive had it for 3 years. Buy an extended waranty and pat yourself on the back for buying one of the greatest cars ever.

  • Wonderful/Fabulous - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series

Ive owned my 2004 xj8 since early 2009. I bought it with a little over 30,000 miles. I have approx 92, 000 miles to date and this car is a beauty. A head turner. Im constantly getting compliments. It drives magnificently and the interior is first class. Just complete luxury at its finest. Ive had a few issues mechanically, windshield wiper motor and throttle position sensor. Other than that, I am a proud jag owner and loving it

  • More than pleased - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series

Purchased just a few months ago still with new warranty and then CPO with 19,000 miles on it - I am in love. Truly had wanted one for many years but finally took the leap and couldnt be happier. It is the most luxurious sporty car imaginable (and I am very, very familiar with most all of them out there). Quite surprising how much of a savings when purchased 3 years old. It is almost a piece of art in a class by itself. Now I am glad I always wanted one!

  • The BEST vehicle on the ROAD - 2004 Jaguar XJ-Series
