This Year's Model Updates:

The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

Wonderful vehicle to drive, great performance and amazing power above 2500 rpm. This car does, however, need good rubber and have found the factory tires totally inadequate, especially on wet surfaces. Have also found the car a tad light in the rear when cornering, which could again be a result of the tires. Would not hesitate to buy another Infiniti.

I just recently bought the G35 while the 330 has been my dream car since I can remember. Giving up a childhood dream was difficult, but I do not regret my decision. The short shifter on the 6 speed manual transmission is phenomenal. The premium package gives all luxury desired, the sports package gives all sleekness needed (without being to showy or pretentious), and the aero package provides for a much more aerodynamic and stable ride, particularly when cruising down the highway at higher speeds. My vehicle comes with all these packages and has brought me nothing but turning heads. I LOVE IT!

If you are vain like I am and would appreciate people coming up to you and saying how nice of a car you have, the G35 Coupe is the answer. On a more serious note, 7 Months & 5,500 miles of ownership. Happy to report no service issues or problems, only maintenance required so far has been an oil change. Please do not let the stylish looks fool you, the G35 Coupe is a sports car in almost every sense of the word. Acceleration and handling are superb, feedback to the driver, excellent. Before purchaing the G35 I test drove the Audi TT & BMW 325. They were nice cars but could not match the G35 in acceleration & overall driving performance. An unexpected bonus, the G35 costed less.

$29,000.00 out the door. Drives like its on rails. Faster than my corvette was and handles better too at half the price. Also has a great warranty and comfort to boot, with the fuel economy of a Honda accord. Whats not too like!

I love it! It is a sharp vehicle. I have the sport suspension package in Garnet Fire. I feel like I own the roads I travel. People have asked me what kind a car is it. Drives like it was made especially for me.

  • Eh - Not So Much - 2005 Infiniti G35

This car should not be compared in the same class as a BMW 3-Series, Acura TL, Audi A4. as it is often grouped with. To me , the car sits a lot higher and does not turn or corner as well as these vehicles. City Driving is brutal on MPG...Im afraid to even measure. I own a 6MT Sedan, you have to really put the pedal down if you want to see any performance, otherwise it drives like any regular sedan.

The Infiniti G35 is one of the 1st luxury sports cars made. The G35 is stock with enough horses for hours of driving fun. With navigation and a set of rims, your infiniti g35 is unlike any other car made.

I was looking for an AWD care that is sporty and fun to drive and not over $40,000(purchased right after the test drive). I own the auto xG35 with the prem package. This car is by far the fastest car I have ever driven. It also handles very well. If you want a car that is good in snow, fun to drive, with lots of nice features, and faster than 99% of the cars on the road, then this is the car for you. The prem package is a must. The keyless entry & start is worth it alone. You walk up to the car (with keys in your pocket), hit a button, open the door, turn the ignition, while the seats, mirrors, and steering wheel adjusts to your settings, then put it in drive and put the hammer down.

  • Awesome car! - 2005 Infiniti G35

I bought this car last year on 6/23/07. It needed a new tranny and a 3rd clutch @ 50K because of the previous owner not knowing how to drive it. I love everything about this car as far as performance, but the amber yellow lighting inside reminds of a TC. I test drove a BMW 330CI before my G purchase & it was a joke. I get about 18-20mpg city & 24-28 highway, which is pretty good considering I have 20" wheels, a heavy foot & 3" exhaust. the interior rattles a lot & no luck w/ the dealer. I have 61K fun miles on this car & plan to drive it to the ground then rebuilt the motoer w/ a turbo.

  • Happy with my 6MT - 2005 Infiniti G35

I havent experienced the brake or abnormal tire wear problems that many others have, although I concur that the OEM tires -- which I replaced with pricey but far superior Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s -- left a lot to be desired. I usually average 21.8 mpg in mostly highway driving. Weve all felt the pain of higher gas prices recently, and for the past couple weeks Ive been driving with a very light foot (very atypical for me) to see how much the mileage would improve. I was absolutely astonished to get an honest 28 mpg on a recent 110 mile highway trip where I limited my max speed to 60 mph. I cruised at around 70 on the return trip and the overall mileage dropped to 27.2. Not too shabby!
