  • Awesome! - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

I just purchased my 2010 Tucson and it exceeded my expectations - I love it. Although it was hard to get (GLS with Popular PKG in Bronze) it was worth of the 3 weeks wait. There are only 2 things I would add as standard to this vehicle: 1) Outside Temperature meter 2) Two way console (deep and shallow) right now its only deep. If youre on the market you have to take a look at that car as its probably currently the best buy on the Market

After much research, and test driving a Ford Escape, I decided my give up my fully loaded Expedition for this sweet little ride. Compared to the Escape, the Tucson is a better ride, better interior design (no need to dismantle back seats to fold them down), it looks more expensive especially the interior, gets better gas mileage, a better warranty (plus road side assistance for 5 years), seats are more comfortable, and it has ample leg room for backseat passengers. What kept me with Fords for the last 3 car purchases was the keyless touch pad on the door, my all time favorite feature, however I will just have to learn to take my keys out of my purse before getting in the car.

  • Beautiful inside & out, but a bit noisy - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

I fell in love with the look of this car, both inside and out. It looks sharp. Gas mileage is good; averaging 24-26 mpg with a combination of town and highway driving. On a recent highway trip, I was getting the promised 31 mpg! My biggest disappointment has been the tires and road noise coming into the cabin. The Kumoho tires seem overly grippy -- even on smooth asphalt it sounds and feels like Im driving on a grooved road surface; there is a near constant roar coming from the tires at highway speeds. (Checked the tire pressure and they are at the recommended psi.) But everything else about the new Tucson is top notch! Its a head turner, for sure.

  • This DOES NOT get better with age - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

Loved this vehicle when I bought it, but quality issues are starting to pop up. Paint chipping too easily, performance issues, electronic glitches. Service issues too. On a recent visit I got the car back with rear bumper damage. I dont think this vehicle will be in very good shape at two or three years old.

  • Fun New Tuscon 2010 - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

I looked at a used Lexus hybrid, the Honda CRV and a used Mercedes M class and am delighted with the choice of the Tuscon. I love the way it looks and feels. We also have a Mercedes CLK in our household but needed a practical SUV but didnt want a gas guzzler. When I spotted the Tuscon I fell in love. Gas mileage, style and warranty tipped me in. I opted for the Limited, with leather but not the premium...I prefer using portable gps, and dont need a sunroof so the premium features arent important to me.

  • Disappointed - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

My temperature gauge doesnt reflect the actual temperature until Ive been driving the car for 15 minutes. Hyundai tech support told me that was normal and that is because of sensor that "chose" to put in the car. In other words, cheap or low end in my opinion. That must be the case with the Bluetooth too, because it doesnt work well either. My mileage averages 18 in the city. I was told it would be better after 5,000 miles, geez. I fill up constantly it seems. I must say I am disappointed with these things. If I had it to do over, I would consider the Honda CR-V or would have kept my Toyota Highlander Im sorry to say.

  • Great buy! - 2010 Hyundai TUCSON

After reading up on many different models in this category and test driving them, the obvious choice for my needs was the Tucson. Great price with many standard features that I enjoy such as cruise, air, 4 disk ABS brakes, 6 air bags, Blue Tooth (hands free) cell phone paring with voice command....the list goes on. The ride is firm but not overly so, good headroom (Im 6 feet tall) and great fuel economy.

Car (Limited model) is totally better than either my 05 GLS or "06 GL in every respect. The ride, quietness of engine under normal driving or demand was surprising. It appears to have as good (power) as my 05 w 6 cyl engine. Economy far better about 24+ in city and about 26-27 @70 mph. Car has only 300+ miles and fuel economy should improve. Interior done very well. Exterior beautiful. Handling very positive. All in all, Hyundai did one heck of a job on this new Tucson!

We really like the car but so far have been BITTERLY disappointed with the fuel mileage. For a mix of 60/40 freeway/urban driving, we are averaging about 24 mpg. Even on a highway trip with very favorable conditions, we only got a bit over 26 mpg. We know that we wont get the EPA-certified 31 mpg from the window sticker but it ought to do much better than it is doing. We had the Hyundai district rep look at it and test drive it. He got only 24 mpg too so he confirmed what we have claimed. He said the car is operating properly and there is basically nothing they can do. This seems very ironic when Hyundai is now advertising themselves as the most fuel-efficient cars in America.

This is my 2nd Hyundai. the first one was a 2004 Santa Fe V-6 3.8 , excellent Vehicle. i traded it for a 2008 Jeep wrangler, i still regret it; not that the Jeep is a bad car but Chrysler cheap manufacturing process and Dealers that dont know what they are doing ruined a great product. So i am back to Hyundai. the Tucson is fast, quite silent and very well build.its electric power steering is amazing , the suspension is firm but comfy. the interior is very functional, there is quality everywhere. the paint job is really beautiful; looks like a more expensive car. Gas mileage is 22 in city and around 27 in highway driving.
