Overview & Reviews
After an extensive refreshing last year, the 2010 Hyundai Sonata stands pat with the exception of the GLS trim, which is now available only with the four-cylinder engine.
- Upscale interior, lots of features for the price, lengthy warranty.
- Ride can be jittery despite soft suspension, bland overall character.

A wonderful car - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
By Steve D. - July 27 - 5:50 pmI just purchased my V6 Limited, Black on Black, and am very impressed by this car. I traded an 06 Accord V6 EX-L, arguably the benchmark for the class. The Sonata has a more sophisticated look inside and out than the Honda, and a more refined ride. The Accord was very athletic in its suspension tuning, but was also harsh at times. The Sonata is lighter on its feet, more like a dancer than an athlete. The interior is outstanding. Refined elegance is how I would describe it. The designers clearly sweated the details inside and out. The Sonata is tuned towards a luxury feel and look, and for me provided a better balance of style, ride and comfort.

No regrets, this is a keeper - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
By Al - June 10 - 9:25 amThis is not a luxury car, but it is a great highway cruiser and very easy on gas. Power drivers seat is very comfortable for long distance driving.

Excellent car!!!! - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
By kytim - May 5 - 12:57 pmI now have 17, 000 miles on my Sonata. It is a great performer. I have owned Hondas, Nissans, Chevys and Mazdas in the past. The Hyundais quality, ride and performance is equal and better than the competitors(in my opinion). I rent cars to save miles and I always enjoy coming home to my Sonata!!!

Great Midsize Car for the Price - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
By Paradise_City - March 18 - 2:26 pmHave this car less than a month. Very nice ride when the road is not too bumpy, the designers should travel on Pennsylvania roads to fine tune the suspension. Superior interior design, & comfortable seating. Gas mileage seems to be 26-27MPG so far. Overall Im pleased. Got a good price with a $2500 rebate and a $1000 rebate with my 07 Toyota Corolla trade in. Interior very roomy.

Great Value - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
By Mike - February 22 - 2:06 amAfter 2200 miles, I am very satisfied with this car. The 4 cylinder has plenty of power for my needs. Fuel economy is impressive for a car its size, 27-29 MPG, mixed driving, in an area with a lot of hills. Very comfortable, great legoom in the back seat for the kids. I will typically keep a car over 100k miles, so low lifetime cost of ownership is a big factor. The 2.4 liter engine has a timing chain, so there are no expensive TB canges to worry about. Auto transmission service interval up to 100k mi.

2nd Sonata - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
By JAL - December 17 - 10:30 amI had an 06 Sonata and loved it. Unfortunately it was totaled in a wreck. I came out of the wreck with only an abrasion on my wrist from the air bag going off. I didnt even test drive another car. Bought a 10 Sonata and love the improvements from the 06. The added subtle chrome on the exterior (limited model) and the redesigned interior is awesome. I owned a Honda before my 06 Sonata, what an over-rated vehicle. The fit, finish and overall quality was poor (it felt & looked cheap). The fit, finish and quality of the Sonata is second to none. Hyundai has come a long since they first came to the US. Remember the first Hondas and Toyotas? I think my Sonata has a lot of class.

Hankook Tires - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
By Bob - November 23 - 10:00 amGreat car, fun to drive. The main problem are the Hankook tires as they wore out in less than 1 year. Only 18,000 miles on car and now I need to spend $600.00 for new tires. hankook tires would NOT even pro-rata tires. Avoid these tires, absolute JUNK!

Its a car thats good at being a car. - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
By Adam - July 5 - 5:10 pmThe 2010 Hyundai Sonata (5th gen) is the car you want to get if youre shopping in the midsize/family car segment. It has what you want for the right price - about $5000 lower than its competitors. The powertrain is responsive, steering is slow but acceptable, the interior and trunk are very roomy, and nothing seems out of place. The exterior isnt too radical and the interior is nicely designed.

Quiet, Fun, Cost Efficient - 2010 Hyundai Sonata
By Steve - January 20 - 2:26 pmIve had my Sonata for only a week..I just now filled up the gas tank for the 1st time since I left the dealership. The car drives like it were on butter. Very smooth feel, exceptionally quiet ride. The A/C is powerful and love the dual temp controls. If you like blue, youll love the dash at night. Sound system is excellent and the gas mileage seems to be about 31 mpg so far. Way above what I anticipated. This car has brought back my love of driving.
