This Year's Model Updates:

For 2007, Hyundai has shuffled the Sonata's trim levels. GLS replaces the previous GL moniker and Limited takes the place of LX. Hyundai has also introduced a new sporty SE trim. Later in the model year, a tire-pressure monitor and XM radio become standard across the line.

Pros:
  • Upscale look and feel, refined performance with V6, smooth ride, roomy cabin, standard stability control, attractive value and warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Steering somewhat vague, automatic transmissions are fussy in manual-shift mode, heated seats on the weak side.

  • so far, so good! - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

Ive had this car for almost a year, and over 18,000 miles later, no significant problems to report. For the money, its been a good investment - secure handling, decent factory sound system, airbags everywhere, comfortable ride. Minor annoyances include a drivers side seat that "rocks", it never really feels like its locked completely in place. The wheel covers are CHEAP and easily scraped all to pieces (or maybe Im just abusive and used to alloys?). Gas mileage isnt as great as Id hoped (mid-20s). Just this morning I heard a squeal under the hood - will be going to the dealer to have that checked. Lastly, the check seatbelt alarm could cause incurable insanity. Worth a 2nd look!

  • The best car for the money... - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

This car is hands down the best car you can get for the price. It is very quiet and very roomy. I dont get as high a gas mileage as others reported (25 mpg highway). The only problem Ive had with the car is that shifting is not always smooth and you clearly feel the gear change.

I purchased my 2007 Sonata in August of 2006 and it has been to Canada twice (I live in New Jersey) Tennessee, and around New York City on numerous occasions. The gas mileage has been outstanding, usually averaging 34 MPG on the long trips and around 25 MPG locally and in the city. The trunk is ENORMOUS, and the rear seat has plenty of room for adults, including those over 6 feet tall. Its reasonably comfortable and probably the best "bang for your buck" mid-sized sedan on the market.

  • My sonata is rusting after a year - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

I have a 4cycl Hyundai sonata 2.4 liter, when I first purchase the vehicle it had only 20 miles on it after a year I have over 42000 miles on the vehicle, it is a fun vehicle to drive and it handle very well on long trips, the vehicle does not burn much gas what so ever, the only problem I have with this vehicle at this time is that it is rusting out the rims and the hood of the car, this should not be happening to a one year old car.

  • Great Car, I will buy it again. - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

First, when I was buying a car, I was looking for a car that will fit my family. I wanted to buy a used car, later I decided to buy a new one. It was Sonata. It has great warranty. It is reliable car. It does pretty well with millage plus it is fast enough. I love to ride in the backseat, it is so comfortable, but the long window during a sunny day will burn your neck in the back seat. There should be a radio station changing on the steering wheel. Steering wheel should be telescopic. The shoulder rest should be a bit longer or at least should be expandable like in European models. It could be a bit quieter at the back, the ride is smoother in the front seat than in the back. I think that is all

  • like new used sonata - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

I like everything about our 2007 Sonata The safety features were a great selling point for the dealer. We like the gas mileage @ about- 26 in city driving. This is my first foreign model car, and I wish I had been turned onto these years ago, but at least I can enjoy mine now. I have Parkinsons Disease and entering and exiting a car is very important. This fits the bill for me. We enjoy driving this car because of the peace of mind we have concerning safety features. Weve only had this Sonata a month, and already I am heartily suggesting Hyundais to relatives and others...as I am doing here. I am already considering upgrading to a new 2009 Sonata.!

  • Great Car, Great Value - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

I bought this car used with just over 2,000 miles. I was immediately impressed with the quality, comfort and performance. The car looks great as well, and for the money, cant be beat. A year later I have 20,000 miles on it and have had no problems. My wife and kids want to drive it more than they do their own vehicles. I never owned a Hyundai before, and am now convinced their vehicles are on par with Honda and Toyota.

  • Love our 2007 Sonata - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

Love this car. My wife & I wanted a mid- size car that was quiet & rode smooth. I did some research; we rode in the Camry (06) & Altima (06). Altima is a nice car; has more sporty feel & thus not quite smooth as the Sonata. If difference in ride comfort of Sonata & Camry exists then we didnt notice it. Look at the price difference, throw in the warranty, it isnt even a contest. Everyone who sees/rides in our Sonata is sort of stunned. It is a refined car & yet they havent heard of it. The V4 was peppy, but we opted for V6. We do a lot of highway driving so we wanted the power that a V6 offers. Also, it is more quiet than the V4. Quietness of the V4 pertains to all the models we looked at.

  • Best car out there in its class - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

I had a 96 Honda Accord and was totalled in an accident. Ive been eyeing on Hyundai Sonata ever since this new designed Sonata came out. After considering its style, lots of standard features, best warranty, price. I decided to buy this Sonata. And I am loving it more than ever after owning it. Car has so many safety features like front, side, knee airbags, Traction control, Electronic stablity control, ABS, etc. Engine is real strong yet quiet but very fuel efficient. Ride is very comfortable and nice too.

I love my Hyundai the only thing that is negative is the horrible beeping sound it makes when the seat belt isnt connected. I cant even start the car without it beeping. The Sonata thinks you will die if you are parked in your driveway without your seat belt on!!
