This Year's Model Updates:

For 2007, Hyundai has shuffled the Sonata's trim levels. GLS replaces the previous GL moniker and Limited takes the place of LX. Hyundai has also introduced a new sporty SE trim. Later in the model year, a tire-pressure monitor and XM radio become standard across the line.

Pros:
  • Upscale look and feel, refined performance with V6, smooth ride, roomy cabin, standard stability control, attractive value and warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Steering somewhat vague, automatic transmissions are fussy in manual-shift mode, heated seats on the weak side.

My x sonata was a lemon garbage car! Engine knock, replaced all the struts, both sun visors, oxygen sensor, electronic stab control module went, head gasket. Car was a piece of junk, was afraid to take it on a trip. I kept it for 10 months and bought an American car. No more foreign! No Wonder they give you a 10 year 100,000 warranty you will use it every month!

Well, after reading alot of reviews about the 2007 Sonata, I had to go out and test drive a couple. I went to a car dealer that had a V6 and a 4 cylinder 2007 Sonata parked side by side. I test drove both of them and what a thrill. The 4 cylinder had almost the same feel as the V6. If someone told me that, I would not have believed them. I owned a 98 Honda Accord V6 and the 4 cylinder felt almost as powerful as it did. So, I ended up buying the 4 cylinder Sonata and it is such fun to drive. I took the long way home just for fun. I appreciate all the reviews that other people shared. All of them came to "life" when I drove the Sonata for the first time. Go Hyundai.

  • I Really Like My Car - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

This car has been great. I bought it because it was such a good value. It has not disappointed in that regard. I am getting between 23-24 mpg around town. It has a lot of power--only 10 hp less than my last car, which was supercharged.

  • Best Car I ever Had - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

This car is fast, Its brisk agile and very quite as also a owner of a 2002 Lexus GS300 I must say it rides just like my Lexus,It very comfortable on long distance, Now Im 6 feet tall 240lbs and I have plenty of room in this car, I also like the XM radio also. Hyundai has definitely stepped their game up probably in a few years I may buy the Luxurious Hyundai Genesis!

  • First year review - Good car - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

Have driven the car one year now, including a record setting snowy winter for snowfall. The vehicle is very comfortable and quiet on the road. The performance is mixed, with lots of HP but mushy in corners. Fuel economy is ok, given the use of HP mentioned above. Only complaint is that all brakes needed rework after only 12000 miles.

I had intended to purchase a Toyota Camry because of strong satisfaction with previous Toyotas. However, the Sonata has more front head room and leg room than the Camry, which is important to me because Im 65" tall. Also I like the looks of the Sonata better than the new Camry. The fact that the Sonata does not have an engine immobilizer system, which is standard in the new Camrys, also influenced me. I feel strongly that potentially unwanted features, such as an engine immobilizer, should be optional not unavoidable. Ive only had my Sonata for a little over a week, but so far Im very pleased with it. I bought the 4-cylinder GLS model for fuel economy and find it to be quite peppy.

I went from a bare bones Accent to the Sonata Limited because it was time to move up. I have never owned a car with power anything, cruise, cd, etc. I took my time and checked out other models. It took 6 months or more researching test driving and contimplating price and dealerships. One saturday I test drove 13 cars. Nothing really came close for the price and comfort. I am a large man and the room was incredable. My son (6) sat in the back behind me and he had plenty of knee room. My wife enjoys the heated seats along with all the room she has for her legs. I would recomend this car to anyone. I plan on keeping this car for a long time. Its to comfotable.
