This Year's Model Updates:

The midlevel SE trim is discontinued for the 2008 Hyundai Azera. In its place, the entry-level GLS gains standard 17-inch alloy wheels, satellite radio and additional options. The top-level Limited trim gains a standard sunroof and Infinity sound system, while a navigation system is a new option. The Azera's suspension has been adjusted to improve the ride/handling balance, which is welcome news, as suspension tuning had been one of our few complaints.

Pros:
  • Attractive interior design with high-end materials, responsive V6, reassuring around-town steering feel, bargain price, outstanding warranty, humongous Ikea-friendly trunk.
Cons:
  • Prone to a few squeaks and rattles, no auxiliary audio jack, seating position is too high for some, light interior stains easily.

  • Where are these! - 2008 Hyundai Azera
    By -

I have been interested in the Hyundai Azeras for a while and finally found a good price on a used one. With 78,000 miles on it I still cant believe how well it looks and drives. What really surprises me is how little these gems sold in America. For the money I dont believe there was a better buy in this class. All cars have issues and for what you pay for this car, and the amenities you receive it is amazing. I cant wait to buy one of these brand new some day. Great job Hyundai and Kia!!!!!

  • Still the best value in the land - 2008 Hyundai Azera

Still the best value. Bought my Azera only six months ago and already put 12,000 miles on it. Its a dream. What a value for the bucks (less than $20K). And I always get looks and comments. Minor annoyances: drivers seat doesnt go back far enough bumps are over exaggerated. But all in all its more than likely the best car Ive ever owned (and Ive owned about 15). Nothing to think about. If youre looking for a great car at a great price - Azeras your only real choice. Im even thinking about getting another one.

  • Own a 2006 & 2008 azera - 2008 Hyundai Azera

Bought a used 2006 (1st year model) limited edition, with 12,000 miles. Now has 103,000. Gave it to my wife, when I bought a used 2008 azera with 12,000 miles, now has 30,000. I have owned over 25 cars in my life, and these are among my top 3 all time favorite cars. You cant beat the quality and features for the price. Dealer service is the only way to go. They stand behind their cars 100%. If I have to complain about something, its the amount of road noise on the freeway. My 2008 has navigation, but it is outdated, and not user friendly. Hyundai is updating the nav in 2011. Two friends have bought azeras, after driving mine.

  • Best Car Ive ever owned - 2008 Hyundai Azera

Previously owned a Pontiac Bonneville, didnt ever think I would find a car as comfy as my Bonneville, but this car has surpassed it in the Comfort Zone! I test drove 7 different cars before I drove this car, and it was by far the best!! The steering is so precise you feel like its doing all the work for you! The power side view mirrors the heated seats with lumbar support for the driver and passenger, the adjustable pedals, the auto settings for the mechanical steering wheel for 2 different drivers, the back seat has great leg room, I just cant say enough about how much we are enjoying this car!! This is definitely a Luxury Car!!

  • Very Happy - 2008 Hyundai Azera

I bought an 08 Azera Limited yesterday so this is my initial review. Im very impressed with the cars ride, overall quality and appearance. I bought it with 16,500 miles. I paid $17K + my 2002 Sonata that was essentially a write off. Im very happy with the deal I made. $17K for a $30K+ car is awesome. Its comfortable, SAFE and classy. I dont see any reason to pay the premium for other brands. This is my 3rd Hyundai and there probably will be a 4th.

  • Very Good but no Great - 2008 Hyundai Azera

This is my first Hyundai. I had done loads of research before purchasing this car. Ive been a Toyota man for 20+ years and it was difficult to change brands. The low resale value of this cars helped me to purchase the Hyundai. Im not sure if I regret this decision or not, but, time will tell. I dont believe it is the same quality as Toyota, but, its close in many areas. The performance is excellent, gas mileage is very good for 263 hp. Seating comfort is a little lacking due to very short seat bottoms. Many many lxury features, but, they havent changed much at all since 2006. Needs a major updating.

  • Nice car for a nice price - 2008 Hyundai Azera
    By -

Purchased used from dealer (executive car with only 22K miles) It was extremely well taken care of and looks and drives brand new...still smells new! It now has almost 30K and Im still pleased with it plan to keep it a long time. I get lots of compliments and now that I have one Im starting to notice them on the road more. You cant beat it for the price...however the Genesis is very tempting.

  • Anyone else have this issue?? - 2008 Hyundai Azera
    By -

All features work well and car handles well. I now have about 13K miles on the car and the front rotors already show signs of wear. The dealer indicated that this was due to the hardness of the brake shoes. It would look as though the rotors would already need to be turned. Has anyone else had this issue? Gas mileage is less than impressive.
