Overview & Reviews
The 2008 Honda S2000 adds a new trim, the performance-oriented CR. This racer-inspired edition brings with it track-oriented suspension settings, reduced curb weight, higher rigidity, a removable hardtop and extroverted, more aerodynamic bodywork. All S2000s this year have a revised gauge cluster, and Honda says it's retuned the regular model's suspension for better high-speed stability.
- Nimble chassis, rev-happy engine, minimalist design, impressive amount of performance for the price.
- Missing key modern features, engine is light on low-end torque compared to the competition, shrill engine note at high rpm.

Honda Hits A Home Run - 2008 Honda S2000
By Michael Yeager - December 7 - 11:13 amA practical sports car? Ive owned and driven true sports cars such as the MGB and Fiat X-19. As all true sports cars are supposed to be, they were cramped, noisy, with no room for luggage -- in short highly impractical -- but a blast to drive. Here is a true sports car in every sense with high-tech handling and more power than all but the most experienced sports car guy can handle. The S-2000 has changed little, but when youve approached perfection, why mess around. Honda pays attention to critics. Although HP numbers have evolved downward slightly, the mid-band torque is now just right. 50/50 balance, a bit light in the rear for traction, but great handling.
