This Year's Model Updates:

Most significant for the Honda minivan this year is the option to get the Touring trim with the rear-seat entertainment system and not the navigation system. Previously, the two features were always packaged together. Other changes this year include additional child-seat tether anchors for the third row and standard satellite radio for the Touring model. Finally, stated power output for the Odyssey's V6 engine has dropped slightly due to Honda's adoption of a new SAE horsepower-rating procedure.

Pros:
  • Split flat-folding rear bench
  • Agile, carlike handling
  • Optional eight-passenger seating
  • Strong reliability record.
  • Extensive feature list
  • Smooth and powerful V6

  • Fabulous Mini Van - 2006 Honda Odyssey

I didnt realize how luxurious this mini van was when I bought it. The sound system is incredible, the dashboard is easy to use and there is so much to play with. The ride is excellent

We compared several minivans. The ability to get leather and the optional 8th seat pushed the Oddessey over the top. We were torn about the Rear Entertainment System and Navigation System, but love them both and they make the car extra-fun. A home-run for Honda.

Fun to drive and feels like a car. For a person of 5.5", the steering wheel seemed to be a little bit of a stretch. Moving the second row seats together seemed to be laborious the first time when we did it. Also, sliding the 2nd row seats for the back row occupants to get in seemed to be a challenge always. Liked the 6 cd chager and dvd player. Like to see the Navigation like console with options would be ideal

  • Never Thought I would own a MiniVan :) - 2006 Honda Odyssey

But with one 19 month old and one on the way, the Mrs. thought it would a good idea. And boy, what a great idea. The 2006 Honda Odyessy is FANTASTIC. Space galore, comfortable, and humms just like the Honda I remember. Our second choice was the Toyota Sienna. That van never wowed me. The Honda will and does. Nice cruising with the Honda. Enjoy getting the 19 month out of the car without straining the lower back. Great storage, stroller and groceries are not a problem in the least. ps Our other car is the Infinity G-35 Sports Coupe / Still kinda cool :)

Great van! I have 6 kids and we all fit comfortably. A solid vehicle all around.

  • Our Odyssey with our Odyssey - 2006 Honda Odyssey

This vehicle can do it all. Luxo ride like a limo, taut handling like a sport sedan, cavernous like a cave, our Odyssey can do it all. In a recent day long jaunt, our passenger didnt complain once about the mid row seating, and was more than impressed with the features of our EX-L model. It surprises people when they get passed on the highway by it, the power is so easy to call up. Maybe thats why Im only getting 21 to 22 MPG right now, but Im sure it will improve. All of the raves are correct, this is the minivan you want to own.

  • Best Vehicle I have ever owned - 2006 Honda Odyssey

We bought our Odyssey about 4 months ago, at first the fuel mileage was a disappointment, but now we are getting almost 300 miles on a tank, in the city. I have a lead foot too... Last month someone backed a Tacoma Pickup into the Odyssey, it was shaking, went over to see the horrorible damage, not even one scratch! I even got the comments from friends about going over to a Minivan, but watched their jaws drop when I hit the gas and told them it has 244 horses. I didnt expect I would sneak the keys from my Wife on the weekends, but I just love the way it drives. When running around town in it, its not a chore to drive it around like the SUV I drive for work.

  • A minivan that can handle curves - 2006 Honda Odyssey

Best minivan I ever owned or test driven. The only minivan that handles like a German sedan. I cant imagine a more practical kid hauler or vacation vehicle. Sure hope it holds up for miles to come.

  • Im actually excited to drive a minivan - 2006 Honda Odyssey
    By -

I never thought I would be excited to drive a minivan, but after comparing the Odyssey to other family vehicles (SUVs), the decision was easy. It drives like a car, is very comfortable and has loads of storage features.

  • Fun to Drive - 2006 Honda Odyssey

Love the NAVI, auto climate control, rear DVD and powerful engine. It drive sooo smoothly and can fit 8 passenger comfortably. The 3rd row seats have better leg room compared to other SUVs/minvans and so easy to store.
