Very Practical (but for 2 people) - 2005 Honda Element
By sundeep - September 15 - 10:10 pmI have enjoyed driving this vehicle very much. Very comfortable for long drive. Rear doors can be little bit uncomfortable in the parking lot when you have passengers but it is great when you have bags, you can throw it at the back seat easily.

MY FAVORITE ELEMENT - 2005 Honda Element
By BIGDOG - August 17 - 4:23 amThis car has solved so many of the reason why we needed a new car. Affordable, reliable and fuel efficient for an SUV. I am 62" and 250 and have long legs and this is the only SUV we found that had sufficient headroom and legroom. Plus with the seats in the cargo configuration, I was able to buy a washing machine and was able to take it home in the element. Awesome machine. Thanks Honda.

Love it, but it fails for reliability - 2005 Honda Element
By JZZDNCR - July 7 - 6:52 amI have a 2005 well maintained and cared for Honda Element. Its my favorite all time car...that is until now. Its a manual transmission just over 50,000 mi and its popping out of gears. Im being told that I need a new transmission! Can this be? I bought this car new because after being a long time Volkswagon owner I decided I wanted a RELIABLE car. Its out of warranty, Im out of work, and a new transmission will put me under. Reliability=Bad

Small car, big interior - 2005 Honda Element
By Graverober - July 5 - 9:13 amOK, everyone who has seen my car cant believe that I bought such a small wierd car. Let me tell you, the element only looks small! I am over 61" tall and over 300 pounds, Im a big boy! I have over 5 in of head room to the roof, and can streach my legs out fully (sliding up just a bit on the seat, but I still cant do that in most cars). Even in the back I have headroom and a fir amount of leg room. The clam shell doors and smooth floor are actualy a benifit for semi-disabled people. my dad is handycaped, but happily sits in the back of my car. he has pleanty of room, and when he needs to get out, he just plops (his words) onto the floor and slides out, he realy loves it!

The Element is just OK - 2005 Honda Element
By rubio1010 - June 16 - 7:35 amI bought this car for my dogs. I bought it for all of my activities. Its just OK. Driving is fine, not fun, just fine. Take every turn slowly as stuff slides back and forth over the entire plastic interior easily. This is not a "Dog Car." The rocking back and forth and sliding makes them car sick. Cleaning is not nearly as easy as it sounds. "Hosing it out" is not an option. Comfort? On short drives, less than 100 miles, its ok. Anything longer and the plastic seats get stiff and sticky. Ive had two windshields replaced from highway pebbles. Thats annoying. The two reverse doors are awkward for passengers in the rear, and getting in and out of the back seats is very awkward.

A fun car. - 2005 Honda Element
By WV owner - May 27 - 10:50 pmThe Element was a great little car. I love the no carpet....great for hauling for my yard work, and great if you have a dog. The seats being water-proof is a plus. Took parents on vacation....plenty of room. Enormous head room....easy to drive. Great pick up on the highway.

2005 Honda element best vehicle ever.. - 2005 Honda Element
By HondaBaxter - May 24 - 5:36 pmThis vehicle drives so smooth for an SUV, it handles so well around turns. This is the best vehicle I have ever owned. It is so good on gas to have all the room it has.

Worst car I have ever owned - 2005 Honda Element
By Copywrites - May 7 - 10:05 pmIf you are expecting perceived Honda quality, you will be very disappointed in the Element. It will start at about 3000 miles when your rear brakes will start grinding, Then at about 20,000 they will literally explode. Make sure you are always near a repair shop. At 45,000 miles you will need a new manual transmission because yours will pop out of gear at low speeds and require two hands to shift it into 1st or 2nd gear. Have no idea what to expect at 50K because Im dumping it at 48K. Goodbye to the worst built car I have ever owned. (I have owned more than 30 cars BTW)
