Honda has completely redesigned the Civic for 2006. Highlights include a more powerful and fuel-efficient 1.8-liter engine, new exterior styling, an advanced interior design and more premium features. The company has also improved the gas-electric IMA system for the Civic Hybrid and restored the Civic Si trim's potency with a 197-horsepower engine and a sportier coupe body style. Midway through the year, Honda will also introduce a new "GX" trim level that runs on natural gas.

Fun little car - 2006 Honda Civic
By kc - April 5 - 3:20 amThis car is a ball to drive. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. The only minor things I dont like are the blind spot where the windshield comes together with the side windows (makes it hard to see because this area is very wide), and the rear seating in the center is not comfortable at all. The other rear seats are surprisingly comfortable for such a compact car. I would highly recommend this vehicle.

New CiviCs Rule - 2006 Honda Civic
By C0ivi6CBoy - March 25 - 2:53 amI have had my 06 Civic Sedan for about 2 months now. Have had no problems whatsoever and the fuel economy has been great (Avg 32 mpg city). Have not had achance to take a long trip as of yet but. Avg miles on a tank is around 350 or so. Also love that people at work seem to think I spent more then I did (shhh). GREAT Car for a GREAT price. Dont miss out.

Great Car - 2006 Honda Civic
By RH - March 21 - 11:10 pmI love my new Honda Civic! After test driving many other cars, Im happy that when I finally made up my mind to buy, the new version of the Civic was available. I never would have considered any of the older versions. This new version is stylish (Ive even been told that it looks futuristic) and classy. The ride is smooth and the interior is roomy for a small car. My husband is 66" and he has more than enough room! I am very pleased with my new car and highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a small, economical, but stylish car.

2006 Honda Si - 2006 Honda Civic
By beckyr111 - March 21 - 4:10 pmTest drove car on a whim last week and purchased one on Friday! What a hoot. Much more fun to drive than my 2000 Corvette w/ 6 speed. I let several friends (who own sports cars) drive the car this weekend and they were very impressed with the the total package. Their guess on price....25 to 27K. Handling limits are way beyond my capability. The car handles like its on a rope with summer tires being very sticky. Car is comfortable while cruising, handles bumps really well and will easily exceed any speed limit without being noticed by the driver.

5th Civic, big jump in refinement. - 2006 Honda Civic
By Jay - March 18 - 3:26 pmThis is my 5th Honda Civic. My 04 model was nice, but the refinement in ride, handling, quality, of this vehicle is a huge jump. This could easy have an Acura badge on it and cost thousands more. I am a very particular person and I have found little to complain about with this car. Alot of my previous grips with the 04 model have been met and or exceeded with the 06. I am very happy with the build and quality of this vehicle. No squeks or rattles, it drives smoothly, steering perfectly, its beyond anything I would expect at $18k, most near luxury cars do not feel this good.

Great Car - 2006 Honda Civic

After I bought it I realized there was a lot more to it, its a safe vehicle, (this car has more safety features than any other car that I have looked at), great on gas mileage, and a sharp looking car. I wouldnt own anything other than my Honda.

By Ron C - February 27 - 9:46 pmI am 71 yrs young and have owned and driven (56yrs) more than a fair share of all type German,Japanese and Detroit vehicle to include during my military career 130 MPH jaunts on the Autobahn. To date my new 06 HCH is proving to be the best driving experience Ive had. Notwithstanding 48+ mpg, room for my 63 219 lbs frame, next generation instrumentation, a Bose like sound system, seat bag peace of mind, CVT, I also find excuses to drive this car as often as possible. I have to pay attention to the Virgina beltway speed limits, 75 mph seems like 55 mpg.

Wonderfully designed car! - 2006 Honda Civic
By Scotch - February 25 - 7:10 amI must add my opinion about my Civic. Its very comfortable on regular daily commutes. Easy on my back. Price was very reasonable for what I got. Style both inside and out is very close to outstanding, in my opinion, but the best thing I like about this car is its marvelous gas mileage. With the right gas blend and warm weather, above 40 mpg is mine to enjoy. Not bad for this size engine and body. Six months and 14000 miles since purchase with no complaints.
