A host of minor changes bring the Civic into 2003. On the inside, all models gain improved seat fabrics, rear adjustable outboard headrests and new four-spoke steering wheels. On HX, LX and EX Civics, you'll find improved gauge illumination. There's a new center console for LX and EX, and a CD player is standard for HX and LX. On the outside, the 2003 Honda Civic has freshened taillamps and new wheel designs. Also, there is a Hybrid Civic available for the 2003 model year.

- Antilock brakes not available on DX or LX.

Sporty Sophicticated Rice Rocket - 2003 Honda Civic
By RacerDave - August 3 - 10:00 amFinally the hatch is back, with the added convinience of a beefy engine powerplant. This car likes to be reved up and kept up there, afterall thats when it all comes to live. Hit 5000rpm and the beauty of Hondas i-VTEC propels you to the end of the rpm red line. Nice little car, but a bit pricey for what it is, no wonder people opt to pay a couple of thou more and get the Acura RSX.

By DrK8 - June 26 - 10:00 amI was somewhat skeptical of stepping down from Honda Prelude 2000 to Honda Civic Si, however I am pleased to say it handles and it is just as much fun to drive. One drawback is the claim it is fast, by no means is it a rocket yet it does the job and gets pretty decent gas mileage. Handling is terrific and the stiff shocks make it a blast particularly on corners. Overall I like my new Honda Civic Si, although next model I would boost up the power.

Great Little Car - 2003 Honda Civic
By Oldguy - June 26 - 10:00 amIve owned my Civic EX 4 speed auto for about a month and love it. It is quick enough for town driving and handles well. It is sharp looking (I get compliments from strangers) although it is not a standout. I got the optional 5 spoke alloy wheels and those are a great addition to its looks. I am anxious to see if the gas mileage improves as I drive it (first tank of gas got 26 mpg). Summary to date: LOVE IT!!!!!

Gods Gift - 2003 Honda Civic
By tampico25 - June 15 - 10:00 amMy wife and I searched for 1 yr. for a 2nd car.Then we found the civic.Were in the Army and we do a lot of driving. The milage has been great! My first car was an 82 Civic, so now Im "Hooked on Honda." We even had a rash of blow outs and rough tire hits and the things still ticking!Its just road huggin fun.The stopping distance is poor, but I made up for that by putting it into neutral when I need to stop or slow down abruptly.The driver is in control! My wife and I "fight" over who gets to drive it to work. Buy this car!

Zippy Hybrid - 2003 Honda Civic

Best part is getting the Civic reliability and hybrid technology in a car that looks and acts completely normal. Im still surprised at how much pep the car has in accelerating and passing. Advertises close to 50mpg but with heat/ac running its closer to a 46mpg avg.

Hybrid Civic Kicks Amps - 2003 Honda Civic
By --dave - May 26 - 10:00 amNot a muscular car especially, but a true performer in all areas. My favorite is the handling, which made my choice easy over the opponent Prius. The electric variable-assist steering is exceptionally tight and exact, and the rest of the car follows it superbly with crisp handling, stiff chassis and just enough feel of the road; very comfortable seats and interior. Instrument panel is accessible but not distracting while driving, and gives lots of feedback if you wish to maximize fuel economy or minimize emissions. Bravo to Honda for not underestimating our ability to understand and apppreciate the technical details behind the dashboard gages!

Not just for kids - 2003 Honda Civic
By skrause - April 30 - 4:13 amI admit, Im not that young anymore, but I still like economical, fun-to-drive cars that will last. I have owned my Si new just over 2 years and have 57,000 miles on it. It is by far the most comfortable long-distance car I have driven. The handling is superb, the seats are comfortable yet sporty, the ergonomics are excellent. I average 30 MPG and my experience with dealerships has been very good. I think the leg room in the rear is better than the Jetta, and the utility of the hatch is terrific. The overall feel of this car is far better the price I paid for it. This is definitely an overlooked value.

Loved this car! - 2003 Honda Civic
By Christina Charlot - April 6 - 3:18 pmI got this car brand new with 2 miles on it in April 2003. I traded it in last night after 13.5 years and 196k miles. Awesome car! Only issue was temp gauge that no matter what was replaced, kept acting up. Thats reason why I got a new car. But other than that it was an amazing car, reliable.
