Perfect car - except for the seat. - 2007 Honda Accord
By Dmitri Toptygin - May 12 - 2:25 pmI drove about 40000 miles on this car, and I had almost no problems with it. Excellent reliability, fuel economy, handling in dry and wet conditions. The only thing that causes problems is the new design of the drivers seat. From 1999 to 2007 I drove an Accord EX 1999, and that one had a great drivers seat. The 2007 version has a new seat design, and this caused me a lot of back pain. I already paid over $2000 to a chiropractor. The headrest cannot be lifted high enough to make it comfortable. Removing and discarding the headrest makes it feel better, but this increases the danger of whiplash injury in an accident.

Could get better highway mileage - 2007 Honda Accord
By kpr173 - April 1 - 10:27 pmOur 2007 Honda Accord EX-L V6 is a great family sedan. We purchased this when the 2008 model year change came out so we got a great deal. I prefer the 2007 to the new Accords as the new ones are much too large in my opinion. Build quality and conveniences are above average. This car really approaches its luxury segment cousins (Acura, Lexus, Infiniti) but not quite. The leather used seems a little leatherette-ish, and parts creak a bit on bumpy roads/cold days. Highway mileage is not so great. I dont drive super aggressively but I have yet to exceed 24mpg when EPA sticker said 20/29.

By Wise 1 - March 21 - 11:56 pmThe Accord has excellent power and a smooth shifting tranny, very strong stereo and cd player is great. Heat works well cant comment on AC until summertime. The brakes are very touchy and require very little effort, stops quickly and predictably. Fit and finish are excellent but drivers seat is short and doesnt give the support most will need if they are more than 5 5" tall. Head room adequate for those 6. Center armrest doesnt extend far enough for me. I can barely use it. The ergonomics of the cockpit are with larger and taller drivers in mind.

Dont Lose The Race NOW! - 2007 Honda Accord
By DL - March 19 - 9:45 am5th accord 4 cyl. Owned since 1991. Gas mileage great, Cruise set at 75, got 34 mpg on 800 mile trip, after 6500 mile break-in. But some quality issues never had on older Accords - brake rotors shake and brake fade on long steep hills. Even with leather option, seats comfort in front is terrible even on 100 mile trip. I am a serious car collector and insist on quality and reliability, the reason I have been with Honda all these yrs. But Honda is starting to lower their standards, the very thing that put them on top. This is the first time I have ever had reason to question the build quality of this brand car. Honda, stop the bleeding! What a great business model, save this product!

Could be better - 2007 Honda Accord
By DanaS - March 19 - 4:20 amPicked up a Honda Accord for the wife to drive. It seemed to be a good economical car, but hasnt gotten near the EPA mileage. The six cylinder with the auto is nice, but not as economical as we thought. The interior is well put together and somewhat plush like a 1980s Buick. The parts fit together well and are acceptable for a 25K car. The ride is an anamoly...flaccid yet tinny. Not much of a step up from a Civic.

Solid Car but low resale - 2007 Honda Accord
By Jeremy - January 6 - 7:00 pmRides great, ridiculous mpg, I get 32 mpg to work and back. Going 70 mph on cruise I get 38. :) Nice smooth clutch, unlike the old flimsy Honda clutches. The only thing wrong with the stereo is that you need to replace the speakers and it will sound great for under $100. If it ever gets wrecked Ill be safe and Ill get another one, just not the new body.

I love my Honda - 2007 Honda Accord
By Bruce of SC - January 2 - 9:26 pmI have owned my Accord for 2 years and I have not had any trouble with it. The four cylinder engine performs very well. I am glad I did not get the six. The only shortcoming I have found is in the rain, a cracked window allows a lot of water to drip in. It usually ends up on the window controls.

Rough Riding - 2007 Honda Accord
By tgoyer - December 30 - 12:30 pmI have owned several Hondas over the years. I have owned LXs, EXs, and CRVs. The 07 Accord has been very disappointing in regard to the ride compared to the previous models I have owned. It is like riding in a log wagon. On bumpy roads you feel every bump and the steering feels unstable. Does not have the solid feel of the previous Accords. Does fine on smooth roads but get ready to get your teeth rattled on bumpy roads at any speed.

Not for long trips - 2007 Honda Accord
By rick - December 1 - 11:59 amThis is my second accord. They are good cars. Never had reliability issues but I only drive hem for a couple years (lease). Only complaint with this 2007 is the seats. Im 61 225 lbs and I find the seats very uncomfortable after a couple hours on a road trip. I never mentioned this complaint to my wife. She took the car on a 5 hour road trip and when she returned she complained that the seats are uncomfortable. I had to laugh because she is 57 115 lbs. My lease is up in a couple months. I will be taking a break from Honda and looking for a bigger vehicle with more comfort.

Noisy Accord - 2007 Honda Accord
By Jim - October 30 - 4:24 pmI had a 93 Accord and loved it. Then I bought this 2007 top of the line EXL- V6 and am not really happy with it. First, the rattling/vibrating when car is cold. Wind noise is lower than my 93 Accord but still could be improved. Then the disappointing fuel economy - 25 mpg. Then the interior. The dash board seems to have 20 pieces put together and each has a different shade of black/grey. The center console door (below the radio) broke and wont push-lock anymore.
