Overview & Reviews
Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

First 4-Door - 2005 Honda Accord
By darkridrDE - May 24 - 8:23 pmTook possession of my new Accord on Christmas Eve. I wanted a change from my unreliable VW 2door. I had been very impressed with the navigation and sound system in a friends TL and realized I could have almost all the same features at a much lower price in the Accord. It has a powerful V6, with decent mileage to boot. Plenty big enough cabin/trunk space and just about every feature I could ask for in a car. This particular model must not be too popular, as the dealer had a hard time tracking down an EX-V6 with Navi. Foglights and rear lip spoiler added just the right touch.

There Are Better Cars Out There - 2005 Honda Accord
By Nick - May 14 - 2:26 pmI bought this car last year for my wife after she was in an accident in her Honda Civic. I knew she loves Hondas and Honda has a reputation of having safe, reliable, fuel efficient, and fun- to-drive vehicles. So, we purchased a fully-loaded v6 and regrettably, I wished I went with my first instinct and got something else. This car has been in the shop so far 4 times and now the check engine light comes on. I have not been impressed with the mpg either. Avg city/highway is 20 mpg. There are plenty of better vehicles out there so dont waste your money on this one. If you have low back problems, this car will hurt your back on long trips. Very uncomfortable.

Accord - 2005 Honda Accord
By Richard C - April 24 - 11:46 pmI have over 3,000 miles on the car. Very dependable car even though Ive had 1 problem so far; the rear driver side door latch locked with the door open and the door wont close (taking it to the dealer later today). Excellent family car. Excellent mileage, over 32 mpg highway with ac and 70 mph. There is a rather large blind spot to due to the roof pillar.

best car ever - 2005 Honda Accord
By love4car - April 19 - 7:36 amMy 2005 Honda Accord is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. The Honda Accord EX-V6 with leather is more than just a car. No words could explain the Accord. All I can say is drive one. Im not a big fan of imports but i test drove just about everything before i purchased my Accord and i never ever even considered purchasing one but I was there so i said let me drive it... SOLD!

Takes a lickin - 2005 Honda Accord
By Amethyst - April 12 - 11:26 amand keeps on tickin! Two people have run into me with my 05 Accord, and I have walked away fine. I couldnt imagine not having the side airbags. The car has been a pleasure to have, and I will continue to purchase Hondas.

Not worth the hype - 2005 Honda Accord
By t60 - April 4 - 3:07 pmI purchased my Honda Accord because I know Honda has a good name, but I am disappointed with the overall performance. Perhaps I should have gotten a V6, because you have to "gun" the car to get it to go and the tachometer is well over 2,000 rpms even at lower speeds, like 50 mph. The Camry is probably a better choice, provides a much smoother ride and better acceleration.

Skeptic Won Over - 2005 Honda Accord
By Chicago Skeptic - March 14 - 9:01 amFrom a family of John Deere and Chevrolet people, it was a breach of etiquette for me to buy a Japanese car. After three years, this is one of the best products I have ever bought...not just the best car. You normally expect some problems with a car like losing pickup, chipped paint, lose a water pump, brakes go early, something...I guess I am just used to what Chevrolet is putting out. My Accord however, has been perfect. The gas mileage is not great, but for a performing V-6 the mileage is just fine. For better mileage get the V-4, but on teh tollway I need the V-6 acceleration.
