Excellent reliability! Really. - 2007 GMC Acadia
By ecanadian1 - March 25 - 3:22 amOk, so we bought new in April 2007. After 150,000km our Acadia had pretty much zero problems! We have only been changing different oils/fluids (engine, transmission, power steering) and air filter. Breaks are still original - amazing! Only one problem in year 2 fixed under warranty: dirty sensor (vehicle pretty much shut down on highway). Will be getting 3rd set of tires this summer. So tire wear has been great. My wife mostly drives this vehicle, about 65% highway. Regardless, the reliability so far has been extraordinary! We also own a Toyota Sienna and Mercedes Benz E500 and Acadia has been most trouble free by far. Just thought would share given all negative reviews.

California to Colorado - 2007 GMC Acadia
By buyusa2 - July 2 - 5:32 pmWe purchased an SLT2 FWD in April 2007. We have 47,000 miles on the vehicle. We did experience a water pump issue that was covered under the 100K mileage warranty. Other than that, the Acadia has been trouble free. We just returned from a 2,100 mile trip to Colorado from California and back through the Nevada and Utah deserts where the temperature was 105 degrees. The Acadia was great. I realize some owners have experienced issues that Im sure GM is attempting to address. This vehicle is built by Americans for Americans as well as others. I only wish Id ordered AWD and a tow package (for bikes). Our mileage was 18.52 mpg matching exactly what the DIC indicated. Buy and Acadia

I must have gotten lucky! - 2007 GMC Acadia
By Chad - October 2 - 2:00 amI have just over 41,000 miles and I have only had this is for oil changes and tire rotations and a few recalls. Other than that I have had zero issues with this. I admit the 6 speed transmission is a bit jerky but overall I get 22 MPG on average tank. Kids love it and it fits me well. I keep it like a shiny new dime and maintenance it well. I plan on keeping this until it just quits. I have the SLT version with the 19 inch wheels and its a smooth ride. Little rattles here and there but otherwise a tight ride.

No Problems with my 2007 Acadia - 2007 GMC Acadia
By outlaw - September 1 - 1:39 pmI have noticed quite a few write ups about issues with the 07 Acadia. I bought mine new and now have 65000 miles on it and the only two issues I have had is changing one burned out headlamp and the other was replacing the belt. Other than that the vehicle has performed above my expectations. Keep in mind I did not purchase a vehicle with sunroof. The only engineering changes I would like to see is having a larger rear window so as to be able to see better backing up and a rear window which pops open instead of having to always open the tailgate style rear. Overall I am pleased with my 2007 Acadia. I am happy with mine.

More Than I Expected! - 2007 GMC Acadia
By Patrick Obi - November 8 - 7:10 amI am a BMW fanatic, however, I decided to take a look at the GMC Acadia and I was pleasantly surprised! Amazingly, doing 60 MPH feels like you are still around 35. It is a very solid and smooth crossover vehicle.

By Michael McCauley - November 3 - 3:33 amBought on July 4, 2007, it is now Aug 7. Compared many cars including very expensive imports like Lexus and Infiniti. This car doesnt look too large but IT IS!! Heavy! Safe!! You can carry a lot! Bought the most expensive model. This is a wonderful car! Does not lean in turns like our old SUV. No problems at all so far. Did not notice the glare (other reviewers). This car has many premium features, see some below. It all works just fine, at a reasonable price, too! Just ecstatic about this purchase, recommend this car highly!

By CARL4TIDE - October 24 - 7:43 amI have owned many vehicles in the past 10 years and Ive never been more giddy over a purchase as I am today. I absolutely love the Acadia SLT 2. Got every feature possible except the heads up display which I thought might just annoy me to be honest. Driving around in town the on board computer calculates mpg at around 18-20 so far and they are usually pretty accurate. Didnt hurt any that I bought it on the GM plan for retired GM employees - thanks grandad - and saved a bundle. Handles great, looks awesome, comfortable, a real head turner so far. Plan to get the chrome step rails asap

Acadia revies - 2007 GMC Acadia
By Tufford - October 6 - 9:33 pmWe purchased the Acadia after the birth of our first child. This was an excellent purchase. The set up of the interior is excellent for hauling a baby and all of the things they require. The privacy in the back with the tinted windows allowed me to feed her in privacy when not at home. The regular plug in also worked well for the breastpump. We have the 2 captains chairs and the bence 60 40 3rd row seat which is very easy to fold down (with one hand) to instantly create more cargo space,plus the automatic hatch opening is great when your hands are full. We have had no problems with it and really enjoy driving it.
