By BOBB - June 10 - 5:33 pmGood, solid transportation. Not the most stylish, but very dependable. The 4.0L is greatly improved The supercab might allow for an overnight bag or tackle box, anything more and I use the Expedition. Excellent value - never pay more than invoice!

Its a great truck - 2002 Ford Ranger
By Ray - April 11 - 5:59 pmI bought this truck new in 02. I now have 140,000 miles on it. It still looks and drives like new. I have only had to do routine maintenance. It was in the shop 1 time for a sensor that went out of range and that was covered by the warranty. All I have had to do is keep the oil changed, brakes, and tires. Its the most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned.

Not to Shabby. - 2002 Ford Ranger
By CPW - December 28 - 12:48 amMy first truck, reviews from friends and family helped decide to purchase a Ford. Plenty of power down low, sometime you have to really get on it to get up to speed on the highway. <11mpg in town and 18mpg highway>. Its practical for the region I live in. 4wd. The Goodyears arent too bad but I havent really heard anything good about them. The windows fog up really fast and that disturbs me. Overall I couldnt be happier with my first truck, hope to have it for many years.

Next time it will be a Toyota - 2002 Ford Ranger
By Mad dog - October 13 - 10:00 amI am waiting for the second left rear shock to be replaced due to the first two leaking (it only has 8400 miles). The auto trans shifts poorly between the top two gears - dealer says it is O.K.? The engine runs much smoother since I switched to Mobil 1 at 8,200 miles. The 98 S-10 ZR2(53,000 miles)I traded in to get this was a much better truck!

Best Lil Truck 4 Me - 2002 Ford Ranger
By This1wrkd - April 11 - 12:26 pmI purchased my 4WD Edge new in 2002. Its going strong in 2006. Ive been all across the country, and commute from Houston to Crockett 3 times per month. You may think its a chick truck, but 4 wheeling is terrific, and it carries everything an artist/remodeler needs (for a chick). Ive owned a lot of vehicles, this one is just plain fun!

By john/sun - March 23 - 7:27 amAfter having an 84 Ranger and getting over 200,000 miles on it, I went back for more. Mileage could be better getting 18-19 average. Not a SINGLE problem with this truck.

my Ford Range - 2002 Ford Ranger
By jim - February 5 - 1:54 pmLike the ride. Fuel economy could be better. Do drive country roads with lots of hills and stop and go from work. But overall I love the yellow color and flames.

good truck - 2002 Ford Ranger
By Gary - January 7 - 8:24 pmBase model with manual transmission & no extras, which makes me very happy now with the price of gas. My fourth small pickup, and the best by far for comfort, fuel economy and handling. Have not missed the 4 wheel drive at all.

Very Good Truck - 2002 Ford Ranger
By Leroy - December 31 - 12:37 pmI have owned this truck for a year now. It has been very dependable and I have not had to have any major repairs done. My truck is a swb regular cab, 2WD, but has a V-6 with a 5-speed manual transmission. One of the best trucks I have ever owned. Good gas mileage. Very comfortable interior, but a little cramped. Fun to drive.

First New Car - 2002 Ford Ranger
By Keith - October 27 - 12:48 amI have really enjoyed owning this vehicle. I drive twisty, hilly roads a lot and I felt the handling in this truck was very sporty. I love precision of the rack and pinion steering. Only had one significant problem at 60,000 miles electronic 4 wheel drive module would not switch vehicle into 4x4. Gas mileage was not so great (16.5 mpg) but my truck had 4.10 gears in rear.
