All 2004 Ford Rangers get a more aggressive raised hood and a partitioned grille that more closely matches that of other Ford trucks. Inside, seats have been revised to improve comfort, and leather upholstery is a new option. A new leather-wrapped, four-spoke steering wheel is available on some models, as is a floor console. New white-faced gauges are standard on all models, except the base XL. The Tremor model's 510-watt stereo now has MP3 capability, and other models are eligible for a 290-watt Pioneer Sound package with an in-dash CD/MP3 player. Additionally, the Tremor is available with four-wheel drive this year, and the off-road-ready FX4 gets an electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer case. Sixteen-inch aluminum wheels are optional on two-wheel-drive Edge models, and an engine block heater is standard in select states.

  The truck is beautiful, comfortable, and most important powerful. It meets my needs and expectations for the truck its size and Im glad I went with no other.

  This is a good little truck, but the seat suck. I have the 3.0L not enough power and poor miles. The 4.0L I had get the same mieage with much better performance.

  the truck is great. but the gas mileage that it gets is really bad. i have yet to get over 240 miles on a tank of gas and thats driving mostly freeway going to and from work. no i wont recomend this vehicle to anyone unless they love spending money on fuel.

  It is a stylish fun vehicle. It has good pickup, a good sound system and is reliable. I am a homebuilder, and the body is like a tin can....No solidness about this vehicle. If you get stuck, there is no place to tow from. I put a bed liner in so it doesnt seem so flimsy (chinsy). I like the vehicle, but I am disappointed that being as non- solid as it appears, that the vehicle does not get better mpg. I drive 80% hiways, and have NEVER gotten over 20 mpg.

  I love this truck, it is my first truck and i just got it. for being a girl i didnt think i would like a truck but when i first saw the ford ranger i knew it was the truck for me. its comfort and design is only the start of all the great things about this vehicle. the performance of this truck is amazing and i wouldnt trade it in for anything! if you are in the market to buy a new truck, take it from me, a girl, this truck is for you!

  2.3 liter a bit small for power but excellent for fuel economy. easy to dress up and make appearance custom

  Let see, Two accessory belt changes by 19,000 mi. Torsion bars were miss aligned, had to return twice to get them to look at it and finally correct. Found damage to under carriage (probably during shipment) would not even look at or acknowledge. Another dealership, Beau Townsend Ford in Ohio, asked "You didnt buy it here did you?" When I brought it in for service. I wanted a Chevy S-10 ext.cab, but they went to only one seat in the rear on 2003, because of three door style. I dreaded buying a Ford, now I know why. Theyre service dept.s are poor rated if you are in for warranty work, or didnt buy your truck from there. Never buy a Ford again.

  I have this truck! Ive had no problems and outperforms in performance, torque, and towing compaired to foreign trucks. In addition...is much less expensive!
