This Year's Model Updates:

All 2007 Ford Mustangs come with an auxiliary input jack for MP3 players, while Sirius satellite radio is a new option. Late in the model year, a DVD-based navigation system will also be available. Seventeen-inch wheels are now a stand-alone option on V6 models. A new Comfort Package with heated seats, six-way power adjustments for the front-passenger seat and an auto-dimming rearview mirror is available on V6 Premium and all GT models. There are also a couple of new trim packages for the GT: Offered in all 50 states, the California Special Package provides black leather seats with contrasting Dove or Parchment inserts; revised front and rear fascias; side scoops; 18-inch machined wheels; "GT/CS" door stripes and polished exhaust tips. The GT Appearance Package offers just the exhaust tips, a hood scoop and an engine cover with the pony emblem. Additionally, Grabber Orange has been added as an exterior paint choice. And as of July 2006, powertrain warranty coverage is extended to five years/60,000 miles.

Pros:
  • Solid V8 power in GT models, about as well mannered as a car with a solid-axle rear suspension can get, slick retro interior, good cabin ergonomics.
Cons:
  • No side curtain airbags or stability control, low-grade interior plastics, seats need more lateral support.

  • Good choice - 2007 Ford Mustang

Bought new in 2006. Manual trans w/V6. Daily driver but has only 48,000 miles. Not had any big repairs to date. Cons: Rear wing cracked on both sides and already fixed in first year. Exhaust sometimes rattles when cold for 30 secs. Seats stain easy. Pros: Get 29mpg/hwy, avg 25 in mixed driving. Great styling in/out. Has Pony package. Still get compliments on looks. Comfy on long trips w/no adults in rear. Handles well in all weather. Actually preffered this to moms 2012 Camry in snow/ice maybe because used to how handles. Would not trust to inexp driver in snow.

I loved this car but got rid of it because it was no good in the snow, didnt get the greatest gas mileage and I needed more room. Other than those few things the car was a blast to own and drive. great for the summer! I had it for three and half years since new and put 26k miles on it. The only mechanical thing I had to get replaced was a piece in the transmission was faulty, but it was covered under warranty. Also the blinker lights went out after a year also covered by the warranty.

I moved to the US recently from Europe, and the first thing I did was to buy a 2007 dark red Mustang. 6 month down the road, its still the car of my (and my husbands) dreams. Lots of personality. Easy managed. Having read some of the reviews on this site, its clear that not everyone was aware what they were in for when they got this car. So heres the deal: This is not a family car, and if the driver is tall, there is zero room for ANY size of passenger in the back. But I mean - its a Mustang! Its not built to be practical or to take the whole family, dog, etc. for a spin in. Its build to give its owner (and the side passenger) a joy ride. And that this car 100% delivers on.

  • American muscle - 2007 Ford Mustang

After reviewing and test driving the 350z, G35 and Mustang gt and I decided to get the Mustang. The z is a blast to drive but doesnt have a back seat. The G35 is expensive to maintain. The great thing about the Mustang is you get a good deal of power in a fun to drive package for a relatively cheap price. With the spoiler, hood scoop and in black, this car can turn heads. In addition, the ride is relatively comfortable for a sport car. This car can be used as a daily commuter and still offer fun at your foots call. With all the after market options the possibilities are endless. Ford got this one right!

Except for gas mileage, this is about as much fun as Ive ever had driving an automobile. I dont refueling as I only get 20-22 mpg. I did slightly modify the dash panel as the chrome rings around the gauges made the instruments hard to read in some sunlight conditions. The Pony Package suspension with cold air intake and DynaFlow duals make driving country roads near my home a blast!

  • I waited six years for this. - 2007 Ford Mustang

Since the initial unveiling of the new body style for 2005, I have patiently yearned for a 2007 Mustang. My wait finally came to a glorious end last Friday, when I traded-in my 1997 V6 black coupe, and purchased a 2007 Grabber Orange GT convertible. To quote the 1975 Queen song title: "Im in love with my car." The Mustang GT is all I expected and more. First, since this car is my fifth Mustang, I have grown accustom to the traction-less rear end. Yet the GT feels solid and attached to the road. The car has a terrific low- end sound, yet quiet enough to hear the stereo, passengers, and yes, the familiar convertible "rattle". But Ill take a little "rattle" over a mini-van any day of the week!

  • Little Engine that Does - 2007 Ford Mustang

My 1997 Lincoln Town Car with just under 200,000 miles has the same engine as our new "used" 2007 GT. The Lincoln is infinitely better than my wifes 1998 Cadillac de Ville dElegance with barely 104,000. The Cadillac is up for sale and good ridance too. Again my 57 year old wife drives like she did our 75 Corvette.

  • Great Car - 2007 Ford Mustang

Im not an easy sale, which is part of the reason why even though I love this car so much that I do not give it all 10s as the purpose of this is to inform you and not brag about how great of a car this is. The car looks great stock but lacks the power that I personally desire. Easily fixed though with very accessible modifications that you can do. Interior quality can be improved but leave the exterior alone as it looks the way it should. The Handling is great and it behaves like a muscle car is supposed to. Definitely recommend getting an aftermarket intake, exhaust and a custom tune otherwise dont expect to blow by other cars in its class with ease.

The engine in this car really surprised me when I test drove it. Quite a bit more power than the older 6s. I have not had any real problems with it yet and the engine seems really solid. When I hit bumps or turn the music up I do get a rattle from either the mirror or the door handle, but I have heard the same from alot of S197 owners. Overall this is a great daily driver and pretty fun. However if you live somewhere with snow, it probably isnt a great choice.
