Love the All wheel drive - 2006 Ford Freestyle
By ASA203 - October 27 - 4:00 pmI have never owned an all wheel drive vehicle, but this car has shown me how great they handle in poor conditions. Last winter was mild, but it is great to be able to pull out on wet roads without spinning. The ride is wonderful and with plenty of room for 6. I recommend this vehicle for families. It compares to the Volvo XC90 but at a much lower price.

Great Family Car! - 2006 Ford Freestyle
By Pugliese Family - October 27 - 11:47 amWe have only owned this car for about a month. We did not see many on the road where we live and were wondering why Ford didnt advertise more about this great vehicle. Thank goodness for customer review sites like this one. We were shopping for a 6-7 passenger vehicle but did not want a big SUV or a van. When we were in Italy this year we rented a 6 passenger wagon and we were hooked. As soon as we got back to the USA we started shopping for a 6-7 passenger wagon. Ford Freestyle offered a spectacular car. It is easy to park and drive and seats 7 very nicely. The gas mileage is much better than my Explorer.

Great Vehicle for families - 2006 Ford Freestyle
By Rob Bartholomew - October 22 - 6:22 pmThis vehicle is a blast to drive. My wife and I stumbled across this model as I hadnt even known about them. We have no regrets and would recommend this vehicle to anyone on the SUV/CAR market.

So far I like it - 2006 Ford Freestyle
By Michael - October 18 - 5:15 amI have had my Freestyle for a little over 9 months now, and I love it. There are some things that could be better... engine noise for example. But the room I have and the fuel economy are better than I hoped for. The kids no longer fight about whos touching who. Sure, some people ask me if it will ever grow up to be REAL SUV, but thats not why I got it. ROOM! plus fuel economy. I think I got both... now lets hope the reliability is good. I am concerned about this new CVT.

I LOVE this Freestyle - 2006 Ford Freestyle
By Mardi - September 26 - 6:31 pmI never dreamed I could actually enjoy a "non-performance" car so much. I bought this vehicle strictly for practical purposes and expected to find it to be ho-hum. It is so comfortable, responsive, and agile that I find myself thinking of it as a fun vehicle after all. My criteria when I bought was that it hold six passengers with some degree of comfort. With high gas prices we wanted a family vehicle that would carry our extended family without having to take two cars. We all, from my 86 year old mother-in-law to my two-year-old grandson, choose the Freestyle even when we dont need the extra room. On top of that, it converts for cargo so easily, I often use it instead of the truck.

IMPRESSIVE - 2006 Ford Freestyle
By eileen - September 15 - 4:20 amI traded in my Honda Accord for the Freestyle. Im so happy I did. It looks great, gets the best gas mileage in its class, its roomy. And best of all, our dogs absolutely love it! We put all the back seats flat, cover with a fitted sheet (queen, fits perfect!) and comforter, roll the windows 1/2 way down & our dogs are in heaven. We cant wait to take road trips in it. I absolutely recommend it to families & active folks with kids or dogs, or sports enthusiasts. We have the SEL in white/gold trim. Its sharp. For us, its perfect. But most importantly, the safety features, comfort, mpg & fact that it suits not only us, but our dogs, sold us on this one. Enjoy!

I LOVE THIS VEHICLE! - 2006 Ford Freestyle
By Caryn B - September 8 - 9:03 amThis is roomier and more family friendly than my Toyota RAV4 and just as much fun as my former Ford Mustang with all the quality and comfort of my mothers Volvo. Both I and my picky husband think that this is our favorite vehicle of all the cars we have owned.

I really like this vehicle. - 2006 Ford Freestyle
By GlenM - September 4 - 10:54 amJust got my 06 Freestyle this weekend. I went in looking for an Escape but as I was walking by the Freestyle my head did one of those whip around things. Unlike some who think the Freestyles exterior is dull, I actually like its looks. Then I discovered the functionality of the interior. But, I reserved my buying decision until I test drove it. True its not going to beat a lot of similar sized vehicles off the mark, but thats not what its designed for. Ive owned mostly Chryslers, Chevys, and Beemers, but I cant think of one of them with a smoother tranny than the Freestyle. My only concern is long-term durability, but well see about that.

Superb, under appreciated vehicle - 2006 Ford Freestyle
By RichardK - August 31 - 12:00 pmI bought a fully loaded FWD Limited and have driven 1500 miles with it. The ride is great and responsive; I get 29.5 miles/gal while doing 55/60 mph. There is loads of room for 7 passengers and having the DVD is great. For a fully loaded car that performs like this at $27.5K, this is a superb! I could not want more in a vehicle. I hope it lasts forever. I love it!
