  • Fun & Practical - 2006 Ford Focus

First Impressions - The first time I drove the Ford Focus Wagon was in 2003 as a rental. I was really amazed how fun it was to drive and so eventually we needed to buy a second car and it had to be capable of long trips that allowed our new dog to come along for the drive. Second Impressions - Our new 2006 Ford Focus Wagon ZXW SES is even better now that when I first drove the Focus. Not only is it extremely fun to drive, but its fully loaded with options that some car makers dont even offer. The engine is peppy yet fuel efficient, the drive feels sporty and the visibility is perfect. Plus we can drive in comfort with leather heated seats and our dog has his own room with a view.

  • Never Bored with this Ford - 2006 Ford Focus

What a pleasant surprise! I have owned the car for 4 months and am delighted with its performance, reliability and ergonomics. It is a pleasure to drive, handles extremely well and gets great mileage. I highly recommend the Focus to anyone who wants an inexpensive, fun vehicle.

  • Pretty good buy - 2006 Ford Focus

I like my Focus Hatchback. Its compact, so its great for fitting in small places and such. However, I keep hearing a noise associated with the brake/transmission that I cant figure out. I took it in to the dealership and they fixed another noise (which was the backseat latch needing oil). This other noise worries me, though. Otherwise, I cannot complain. The A/Cs great. The sounds pretty nice and I like the speaker set up. And, it drives smoothly. I would recommend it for a first time car-buyer.

  • Ford Focus met our needs - 2006 Ford Focus

The Ford Focus wagon is a comfortable as well as economical car to drive. We have 3 dogs that we like to travel with and this wagon handled all the dogs as well as a luggage rack on its roof. This allowed for the family to travel safely as well as comfortably. We werent certain at first if this 4 cylinder engine would have the power to haul all of us everywhere but it sure has we are pleased. We werent happy with the limited choices of paint colors offered. The rear floor of the cargo area should have been a little more than a thin sheet of plywood with a layer of carpet. Over all we are pleased with our purchase and the reasonable price we paid. Wed purchase this car again in a heartbeat.

Has been a excellent inexpensive reliable basic auto.

  • GREAT car - 2006 Ford Focus
    By -

After reviewing and test driving small and midsized wagons for nearly a year, the summer 2005 sale price on this vehicle finally tipped the scale. I couldnt be happier. This car is fun to drive, very peppy with good road feel and still more economical to drive than most of the competition. It has more actual cargo room than many larger SUVs and wagons.

  • From One to Another... - 2006 Ford Focus

I traded a 2001 ZX3 for this 2006 SES. After driving this car for a year now, I think overall I wish I would have kept my ZX3! The build quality was MUCH better on the ZX3 but the SES has more power. There are some annoying squeaks and rattles that were a non factor on the ZX3. I dont know why Ford would not make the seats that are standard on the ZX3/ZX5 standard on the SES. These have much better side bolsters. Dont get me wrong, I like the SES. The steering feel and handling are great. The ride is not too firm. The Sony Audiophile system has great sound and the auto transmission is smooth shifting.

  • Comfort for tall drivers - 2006 Ford Focus

I have owned my ZX3 for almost a year and it has been perfect. The seats are awesome on short and long trips. After driving 12 hours, no back pain at all. The faster you go, the funner it is to drive. I get around 26mpg in town and 34 mpg on the open road. Im 62" and it is the most comfortable car out there to drive (much better than my 2003 Monte Carlo). The fun factor for driving is a 10+.

  • Focus ST - 2006 Ford Focus

I love my Ford Focus ZX4 ST. It is fun, fast and reliable. I also really appreciate having a sporting oriented car that gets better than 30 mpg. Mine is a head turner with the Street Appearance package. Its interior is very comfortable with leather, moon roof, and loaded up. Fantastic car.

  • Just a Great Little Car - 2006 Ford Focus

We bought this car mainly as a commuter, but found out its also a great road car. Handling, quiet & comfortable says it all. Only had for 4 months, but all indications including reliability look very good. Saved a bundle compared to competition. Very good ergonomics, easy new car to get used to. I think mileage will improve with age. We drive a very (25 mile) winding and twisty road to work and back, and trust me, this car is the one you want to be in. ABS, and side air bags were a must, as should be in all vehicles. We love our Outback & minivan, but this one is really a hoot to drive. If youre a DRIVER, and love to DRIVE check it out. Oh, and you will smile all the way to the BANK!
