By paris77 - August 12 - 10:00 amWell after reviewing the other American made choices for 1/2 tons, this new Ford F 150 Lariat Supercrew 4WD wins hands down.I am lucky to own this as my first truck which was purchased to haul a horse trailer and general utility use. The ride is incredible and the power is fine for a 2 horse trailer. I plan to have this for many years and am quite happy I chose the Ford.

And in those ten years, the only repairs besides regular maintenance was a battery at 130 thousand miles, and a water pump at 140 thousand. I sold the truck ten years after I bought it with 165 thousand miles on it. It still ran great, and looked good, I do wax it every four months. The only reason I sold the truck, I wanted the extended cab.

SO FAR SO GOOD - 2004 Ford F-150
By roland - July 27 - 7:46 amI love this truck, and with some personnal touches, its looking GOOD!! Surpisingly, I get about 17-18 mpg (city), and 19 to 20(hwy). My best was 21 mpg on the hwy, not bad. Only problem I had so far was a bad window motor, at $300 plus labor.. Other then that this truck has been too sweet.

Powerful, Reliable, and Great Looking - 2004 Ford F-150
By Fordtrucks#1 - June 30 - 4:32 pmIve put 10,0000 miles on my F-150 FX4 in the 7 months since I got it. I wanted a reliable truck to take to college, & I am sure this truck will get me through college and then some, which I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off. The 5.4l V8 has great power along with good gas mileage for a truck(I avg. 15-17 mpg.) Its very sharp, and I have got lots of compliments on its looks at my high school. I am at 87k miles and no problems whatsoever. The interior and exterior are the sharpest of any truck I,ve seen, and the ride is very smooth to. I am very pleased with my truck, and my next truck will definately be a Ford.

By marcos - June 1 - 8:50 amThis truck has everything Ive wanted in a truck. I had a 2000 F-150 4x4 and it fells like I went from a lumber wagon to a Mercedes in term of ride quality. There are so many positive attributes with this truck I couldnt list them all. The only complaint is power. It seems a bit weaker than my old truck which also had the 5.4 V8. A chip and few other mods will take care of that issue for me though. Overall, a great truck. Baught it instead of the Nissan Titan. Like the Titan and its 180 degree swingout doors, but the Ford felt better to me. The Audiophile stereo in the F-150 is very good for a factory system. Hope this helps prospective buyers.
