  SRT-4 - 2005 Dodge Neon

  I didnt like the look of the SRT-4 and wasnt very into driving a Neon. However I decided to take it for a test drive because it was the fastest vehicle for the price I wanted to pay. Wow! This car is very fun to drive! Its fast and it does not drive the way you think a Neon does. It handles much sturdier than you think possible and can provide thrilling acceleration. I have owned a 2003 Ford Lightning and a 1996 Mustang GT. It is as quick, if not quicker, than both.

  Ok, prior to my SRT4 I owned a WRX. I miss my WRX alot, mainly because of the AWD and respect that car has on the road. However, the SRT4 has done nothing but impress me. It has much better top end power than a WRX. I am interested in seing what a stage 2 mopar package is going to do for me. Since I live in CO, Im dreading the winter w/o AWD. However, when you let the horses loose on the 2.4L turbod engine from the on-ramp of I-25 (which is 75MPH) there is no differance of feeling from an SRT4 and an STI. the regular WRX actually feels slower!

  Ive had this car for a little over a year and I must say its a hoot. The only thing I would have changed from the factory is a 1 inch wider wheel. If you want stellar fuel economy, buy a Honda. Interior is on par with others in the class regardless of what other publications tell you. The seats are amazing, and your body has no idea the car is cornering hard other than the visual references that are coming through the windscreen. Dodge has definitely hit a home run with this compact beast. No one can compete stock for stock in the price range even for a few grand more. Youll enjoy this car even if you have an abusive history with your vehicles.

  I have had this car for almost a year. I LOVE IT. Plenty of room for modifications if your into that type of thing (this car is made for it) The best bang for buck for a compact rocket ship.

  Brakes - 2005 Dodge Neon

  The brakes make such a noise - dealership and others say that this is way Neons are. Cannot be changed. Seems to me that if they can design other cars not to have this problem why they could not use the same technology to the Neon. Very unhappy with the car and such noisy brakes - and unhappy that the dealership and unhappy that Dodge/Chrysler seems ok with that. Also - know that the tank is only 10 gallons - always filling up.

  Pocket Rocket - 2005 Dodge Neon

  Really fun to drive. Has the power of a V8 without the long nose or heavy feel, and the utility of 4 doors for those with a family. I still smile everytime it comes time to hop in it and go somewhere.

  Its a Cool Little Car - 2005 Dodge Neon

  I had to replace my 1999 Ford ZX-2 due to electrical problems, so I did not have time to do a lot of car shopping. At first, I was not very enthusiastic about the Neon until I drove it. I love the body style, its not the Neon I remember from the mid-90s. Its a great looking little car. I was pleasantly suprised with its smooth ride and peppy 4 cylinder. I am a tall girl (510)and feel very comfortable behind the wheel. The interior is suprisingly roomy and the seats are very comfortable. Overall, the car is fun to drive and very stylish(it has a really cool front end and check out the spoiler). It is a great value for the money and its sporty good looks makes it a very cool little car.

  Its a great car for commuting. Comfortable with the pep that you need. I would definitely recomend this for a first car or for someone that drives a good distance for work. I like the 6 disk changer in the dash and the sound system, even though it could go a little louder.

  Im one of those who must own a car every three years. All but one have been Neons, and the latest is definitely the best. Noise level is drastically reduced. Gas mileage is excellent. Its wide wheel base hugs curves beautifully. Its pep makes it so much fun to drive! You think its small engine cant do much, but hit the interstate and take it to 70mph, and youll see it really get up and go. Theres still some road noise, but the awesome stereo takes care of that. The recent exterior redesign makes it look sharper than ever, and I love my cars electric blue color. Its a great car for a low price!

  I cant help it, I love this car. You cant help but smile when you look at it, sit in it, or drive it. Add the mopar blow off valve for added pleasure. Its quick and sounds like a muscle car. Theres not much not to love about this car.
