Overview & Reviews
A few functional upgrades take place. The 3.2-liter V6 is dropped as the 3.5-liter engine becomes an option on the ES model, a new SXT model debuts, sporting the R/T's higher-output engine, and the antilock brakes now have Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.
- Plenty of passenger/luggage capacity, agile handling, powerful engines.
- Dated ergonomics, blind spots when backing up, engine noise when pressed.

No Cruise control and poor interior - 2002 Dodge Intrepid
By Gunda - April 13 - 2:00 amI got Dodge Intrepid SE as a company car. I was surprised to learn that SE model does not have a cruise control. Even the very first car I bought 1984 Chevy citation had a cruise control. Indoor passenger side over head handle gave away when I took one of my customers for lunch. I could not believe that this car has such poor engineering indoors. There is a loss of power when I put car in reverse to pull out of a parking spot. Overall with my two months of driving this car daily, I am disappointed. Next time, I would not have this as my company car.

Great for Singles Too!! - 2002 Dodge Intrepid
By SuzyQ - March 19 - 2:00 amI bought my Intrepid E/S with all the xtras. It is my first car and I love it!! It is fun to drive, roomy for friends and family. Gas mileage could be a little bit better. The car is extremely comfortable, very easy to handle. Rear visibility and car length makes parking difficult -- but easy to get over considering that this car is so great. I was hoping to get a BMW or Infinity I30 for my first car. I have absolutely no regrets!!
