Overview & Reviews
The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 gains a multidisplacement cylinder management system, which boosts fuel economy up to 20 percent in certain driving situations. Wheel choices have been revised, and 17-inch alloys are now standard. Stability control, a power rear liftgate and remote vehicle start system are newly optional. A three-passenger 60/40-split third-row seat is now optional on the SLT and standard on the Limited model, raising maximum seating capacity to eight.
- Strong V8 engines, agile handling, excellent ride quality, capable off-road, lots of cargo capacity, simple controls.
- Lousy mileage, sloppy fit and finish, needs more second-row legroom and storage.

This is considered an SUV? - 2006 Dodge Durango
By americanmade2 - June 17 - 8:53 pmWell in December of 2010, my family got this car. at first it was great ... but then the horrid hard plastics started breaking on the seat belt covers and on the seat belt buckle itself the buckle in the third row is completely useless! the hard plastics are also bad they just look tacky. the seats in the second row are not comfortable for longer than an hour. the leg room in the second row is bad... really bad my son who is 54 complains! the car has a problem shifting and gets valves clogged all the time! our family hates this... thing! we are buying a 2007 Lexus GX 470 in a month hope its better!!

Its a Pile of Junk - 2006 Dodge Durango
By carman97 - January 4 - 7:53 pmmy family bought a 06 Durango SLT in December of 2010 for me when i turn 16, so far most of the plastic on the seat belts has fallen off, the motor and the transmission needs full replacing because it burns oil and its lazy and doesnt want to shift into second gear. What was Dodge thinking in 2006??

Rebate kills trade in - 2006 Dodge Durango
By Rebate kills tradein - July 16 - 2:09 pmThe truck is pragmatic for large families. Handling, agility, speed etc etc is all comporable to its competition. The Hemi would be the only outstanding characteristic above other trucks of its class. I have owned two and have a family of 5 so, I know and appreciate the value the Durango, but objectively, there is nothing spectacular for consumer reviews. If you like the the cosmetics and are planning to keep it for the life of the loan, then you will get your moneys worth. If you like to trade every two years you will be disappointed with ground truth trade in value of this depreciating asset.
