Overview & Reviews
Entry-level Sport model gets bigger wheels (16s versus last year's 15s) and all Durangos now have four-wheel disc brakes. Inside, you'll find a six-disc CD changer as a new option. A redesign is due for 2004.
- Strong V8 engines, smooth-shifting transmission, excellent ride quality, rugged good looks.
- Dismal gas mileage, dated design.

The best there is - 2003 Dodge Durango
By RoadRunneR - July 22 - 10:00 amWent shopping for a new vehicle and after test driving trucks and SUVs from just about every manufacturer the Durango won hands down. Lots of power, looks great and good price after the $4500 rebate.

fun to drive and great looking - 2003 Dodge Durango
By Mattz - January 31 - 2:00 amThis is my second Durango. I had a 98 and traded up to a 2003. I thought long and hard about this vehicle, and I just couldnt part with the truck. Great fun to drive, great looking, comfortable, and very little to dislike. Heads and shoulders above the competition.

Duraaaango! - 2003 Dodge Durango
By Badlands - December 24 - 2:00 amThis is THE SUV folks. Sure, some people will swear by the newer design of the Ford Explorer, but lets face it - at the end of the day the Dodge Durango is an SUV - a truck with style and functionality. The Explorer has just turned one step closer to being a car lifted up a bit to look like a truck. Not that the Explorer is bad but its sort of dainty compared to the Durango. The Durango handles great off-road and in 4 wd for snow and mud. Its interior is clean and crisp and it has a solid feel all about. The leather seats are comfortable. Its just a solid sporty rig!

Worst car I have even owned! - 2003 Dodge Durango
By Jennifer - October 5 - 10:37 amThis is the worst vechile I have ever owned. I bought it brand new and have had to bring it to the dealer 10 times to fix non-routine maintence items. Brakes went out, check engine light is on all the time and the dealership cant fix it (brought in 5 times), AC broke twice, wind shield wiper motors broke. Only 40K miles! I wouldnt wish this SUV on my worst enemy.

Never Again - 2003 Dodge Durango
By George - July 29 - 4:47 pmOwned R/T for several months now and regret trading in my Infiniti for it. Had 32K when purchased and had tie rod problems from the day I drove off lot. Wife broke down 3 days after purchase. Went back to have driver side window switch replaced due to failure, Window came off track At 44k transmission started slipping on highway at 65mph. Took to dealer and whole transmission needed to be replaced over $2k. Lucky I bought extended warranty but still cost me $425 out of pocket. Still doesnt feel right. Slips now when rear end hits any bump on highway. I am going with my wife this week to get rid of it and buy a foreign car. American cars are just not up to the quality level.

Great SUV - 2003 Dodge Durango
By Bart19 - February 24 - 2:00 amI got just what I wanted. It is a bit more like a truck than say the Montero But it is powerful, roomy, Comfortable, Nice looking, etc.. I had a 96 4.0 Jeep cherokee sport 2dr and this is a big truck compared to my old jeep. Liked the new Jeep Limited but scared of the transmission problems and now that I compare this truck with the limited I love my final choice. Much bigger and better looking.
