Overview & Reviews
Entry-level Sport model gets bigger wheels (16s versus last year's 15s) and all Durangos now have four-wheel disc brakes. Inside, you'll find a six-disc CD changer as a new option. A redesign is due for 2004.
- Strong V8 engines, smooth-shifting transmission, excellent ride quality, rugged good looks.
- Dismal gas mileage, dated design.

Great SUV - 2003 Dodge Durango
By toyman - September 3 - 2:00 amI Love this truck ,we got a great deal from the dealer ,who was fantastic. I did shop around .We looked at Explorers , those new Chevys and a toyota. We test drove them all, they came with 6 cyl. engines and they were a little more expensive then the Dodge. They just did not have the get up and go and bland styling save the chevy which has a unique if not ugly look. The Durango has the best Base power, excellent room and great styling.

New Durango blues - 2003 Dodge Durango
By amber - September 3 - 2:00 amBought our new Dodge last month. It is a SLT 4x4 model (2003). So far the best gas mileage I have recieved is approximately 13 miles per gallon. Pulling our 23 ft boot only 9.5 mpg. Aweful gas mileage. Our air does not run as cool as it should. We were trying to decide between an Envoy and the Durango and decided on the Durango because of the incentives. Also three days after buying the durango, the gas petal came off in the middle of a highway and we had to pull over to replace it. I now wish I had gone with the Envoy for comfort reasons and interior styling. The only con for the Envoy is that it felt like driving an all wheel drive van.

My Dream Vehicle - 2003 Dodge Durango
By VelvetSteel - August 27 - 2:00 amI love this vehicle and honestly cannot think of another one that I would want more. I enjoy every aspect of it. The drive is smooth I have room for all my kids and my 2 big dogs it looks great because even when its dirty, from a distance it still looks claen and beautiful cd/tape player is great. The mpg could definitely be improved... I only get about 300 miles to a tank which is what I got in my Civic and it had a considerably smaller tank.

2003 Dodge Durango--First 1000 miles - 2003 Dodge Durango
By HBMzzz - August 20 - 2:00 amThis Durango XST is my first SUV and followed driving a Toyota Avalon for the last three years. So far, Im delighted with the car. It handles well, is quiet, and fun to drive. On our first distance trip, I drove for about 200 miles without stopping or getting out of the car my ability to ambulate upon getting out was better than Ive had with other vehicles. The transmission has performed very smoothly shifting down and up with scarcely noticeable change except on the tachometer. The instrument panel seems well laid out and is easy to understand. Exterior styling with the wheel well shields and running board are very pleasing.
